In my garage I have an old chest full of at least 2 of every thing I need. That is only when I need it I can't find it so end up buying 2 more. After finishing the project and put the extra one away for next time seems like I always find what I needed in the first place! Anyone else with that problem?

That is not a problem, it's an opportunity. You never know what you see that you didn't know you needed until you go to buy what you needed. Never ever throw away anything, sure as you do you will need it next week and they don't make them anymore.
I started my "bent nail can" in 1960 in Alaska, moved it to Colorado then to several places in Washington. It is much larger now, more like a barrel. Last week I used a bracket out of it that I saved in 1960.

Brin posted earlier how to restock the junk box...besides auctions etc., I always ask the hardware stores if they have any sacked "floor sweepings" which is what I call the misc nuts, bolts, pieces and parts that find their way to the floor. Most stores don't want to pay their employees to sort and restock. Instead, they will sweep it up, sack it and sell by the pound..usually at small fraction of what nuts & bolts sell for by the pound.

It's a good way to replenish the junk box, you never know what you will find, and its new - no rust.

thats what im talking bout it's over 20 miles to nerest hardware that is open after 12 pm on saterday not open at all on sunday and most of the time i need a fine thread bolt or some type of bracket and i most always find it in that pile of stuff. now i do agree the radio is a very important part of my being confrontable while i work. so maby you guys and gals can help me my reception is awful i even got me a fm atenna from chruchfield and i still can't pick up my favorite clasic rock station. my brother lives 1/8 mile from me pick's it up fine. what i don't understand is i can pickup station's tiwice the distance as the one i want there all 100,000 watt station's.

I am a member of welding web, but my username Forgeblast was taken there so I am forgeblaster on that site. I am glad you liked the links I spent a few months just watching a ton of videos to figure out how to do it right. My wife likes the uv protection too for our furniture too. Hmmm...maybe the compressor...maybe the welder....maybe the tool boxes full of tools....for me being neat and organized and knowing where everything is placed is the most important thing of all. In all seriousness my little impact gun is the most used. It's a Dewalt 18v and came with a screw gun as well. I have millions of bits and attachments for it so I would say that it gets the most use.
