Does the new BX have the fuel filter still down on the bottom, under the frame where the old ones did? What do you need to do to remove it all (assuming you need to to get at the filter)?

Otherwise, I think it looks great!

Yup. It's in the same place. I just remove four bolts and I'm at the filter. Kinda like having to open the hood to get at the motor ;)

So true my friend so true.

Thanks my buddy. Oh ya. There's many more to come. Thanks for posting

 Bob I needed that laugh. Thanks. Is there a lot of tractors in KY? If there is I'm on my way. Could take awhile. I'm heading down on the BX :cool2:

Yes sir there are lots of tractors here and the neighboring states.

My goal was to make it look as if it came with the machine so I'll have to let you decide if I accomplished that goal

I'd say you accomplished it, and then some... The Kubota engineers should be taking notes of your work. Excellent job!

That's quite the under armor for the BX. Oh I'm certain the Kubota factory gleans over Paul's ideas for future products.

Awesome work 4 shorts!! Love the ripper tooth, would have been great to have on some of the past work I've done with mine. I have a wr long flat tooth bar that negates the need for a seperate wear edge. The undercarriage is a necessity to protect and yours looks awesome also!
Time to get her dirty now!!

Nice looking job.One thing I noticed is you covered over the mid PTO.Probably not a concern for your usage, but something to consider for anyone making something similar. When I had a BX25 I made a similar skid plate out or 1/8 stainless steel plate but had problems with interference of the MMM deck,Kubota designs this stuff pretty tight.I ended up cutting the skid plate down quite a bit but was able to have an improved skid plate that allowed me to use the MMM.

Thanks Matt. I think it will work for my needs. To bad Kubota didn't offer some of these items as an option because I would have ordered it with the machine instead of taking 11 hours to design and fab one. I think these tractor manufacturers are missing a golden opportunity not offering more accessories. Go and buy a new truck and the first thing their doing is up-selling the accessories and most of the time you end up shelling out thousands extra to buy them. I'm sure as well they are watching. I'm only doing two tractors. The 5740 had over 100 mods and now the BX. What other mods could be done to their other models that just might attract more attention and win over new customers. Seems to be great potential their. :confused3:

Thanks Deano. I figure the more protection the better

Yes I realize I covered the PTO but I have no need for it. I'm only using this machine for the chipper/shredder and the back hoe. I'll use the ZTR for the mowing. Thanks for commenting.
