Great lookin' dogs.

Thanks

OK enough bodging. I was to see it in action.

Next week it goes to work. One more mod tomorrow then the hoe comes off and the chipper/Shredder goes on.

OK here's the latest mod. I didn't see much interest in the shots I posted on the first part of building this latest mod so I'll just cut to the chase and post the finished product.

I'm calling this mod "Stihl Here".

Yes I blocked one way to exit the machine BUT I've never got out on the right side of a machine even when I operated BIG heavy equipment. To many obstacles in the way. Yes some might ask what IF you have to jump clear of the machine? Well as an operator we were always told the safest place for you to be in the case of a roll over is on the machine. You go to jump clear you get run over by the machine.

Now that we got that out of the way here's my solution to storing my chainsaw on the tractor. I have all the leg room I need, It's in easy reach in a convenient location. It's strong and I'm happy with it. It took a bit of milling, drilling, countersinking and welding but it was a nice little project. I also included a storage area for the axe.

Here's how it looks :)

I Like the stihl here mount for the chain saw. Not many places on the tractor you can carry a chain saw, but you certainly solved that problem, in a classy way too.

Don't know if your ever going to use that bucket for moving loam, But your going to find after a while all the dirt won't be leaving the bucket with all those hooks nuts and bolts inside your bucket. Your going to end up with only half of the bucket being dumped and half still inside. Three years ago I welded three hooks on top of my bucket and have yet to use them for anything. I do a lot of moving dirt and a clean bucket is important to me. Nothing is worse then moving a pile of dirt and find your bucket has been caked up and not carrying a full load. Using a shovel to clean it I think would be a pain in the *** with the hooks inside. So I guess it's a personal preference and what your going to be using the bucket for most of the time.
I really like everything else you did to your tractor though. Top notch work.

Thanks guys. Glad you like the saw mount. It was the only location I could find where it wasn't stuck out in the open yet still accessible and easy to get at. It will only be in place when the chipper is in use.

Waxman if the hooks become an issue I'll mod them ;) That will be easy enough.

One of my best friends who lives in Sarnia, Ontario was vacationing in Florida a few weeks ago and had this license plate made for me as a gift. Isn't it great to have a friend that lives thousands of miles away yet while on vacation thinks about doing something like that for me? True friend and have always been that way.

Well today I'll be doing the last mod. It's really not even a mod but more like adding a Kubota accessory. I'll post photos of it then and as promised I'll post some night shots of the lights then that will be it for me and my posting on the subject of our Kubota BX25D.

This Saturday the hoe comes off and the chipper goes on and it will be going out back doing what it was intended to do. Thanks for all the responses everyone. Glad you enjoyed it all. :cool2:

I have a question on how you have the SMV sign attached to your backhoe. A few days ago, I found the bracket laying in the dirt for my B26 but couldn't find a mounting place for it. I finally found an old photo and it looks to be held on with a hose clamp to the dipper stick cylinder. Got to be something better than that to hold this bracket on.
