We have yet to see any of the new lights on, but it seems like these will be fairly redundant with your "ditch lights". I'll be really curious to see the difference between them (and the sum of them as well).

Not really. The beauty with the Kubota lights is that they can be aimed in any direction where as my Ditch Lights are fixed on one area (The Ditch)

Tomorrow the chipper goes on with the 3 PT hitch then it's off to work it goes. Ive started a video of all the features I've added to the machine and as soon as the sun goes down I'll do a night video of the lighting. It should be up on youTube tomorrow if all goes well.

There won't be any star-gazing in your neighborhood tonight. ;)

In perpetration for the event we are handing out free shade 10 welding lens to all the locals in the Immediate area and advising residences in surrounding towns to keep their blinds closed just in case of a flash

This was a two second test we did with the BX at 3am in the morning last week.

Reminds me of something out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind..

What's the total theoretical amp draw Paul, with all the lights running? I was looking at some LED lights the other day and considering replacing my halogen work light with one of them. The trouble with the halogen is that it has a "trapezoidal" beam, when I really needed a flood effect. That and it draws 55 watts.

How has your Mastercraft grinder held up, Paul? I noticed it in one of the pics you posted. For what they cost, they aren't too bad for light work. I'm on my second one, it's set up with a cutting disc full time. The first one expired with a gearbox failure, this one doesn't get pushed as hard. For cheap grinders, my wife got me one of the Jobmate ones they used to sell. That thing was tough! I tormented it for probably 4 years before it finally quit.

To tell the truth I never check the draw yet. I only turned them all on for the first time an hour ago to do the video I'm editing now and uploading. I need to check the draw and also check the hydraulic pressure as well. Tomorrow the hoe comes off the the 3pt hitch goes on along with the chipper.

Hey don't laugh. It's serious stuff. I bet your glad you don't live in Newfoundland with all these lights :D

Man you just can't go wrong with these cheap grinders. 3 year warranty as well. The only one I ever had trouble with was also the gear box. I tend to buy top of the line tooling but when it comes to grinders MasterCraft is it for me. I have one with the cutting disc, one with a flap disc and one with a grinding disc. I mostly use Milwaukee tools for everything else.

Anyway I forgot to mention that the parts and service manual showed up. They were late printing the new manuals but at least I have them. nice to have the manuals.

Your very welcome Chris and thank you for your interest in all of this.

Well the light test went well. Had a few seagulls fly into the shop. Guess they were blinded by the light :D a cat walked by just as I switched on the top led light bar and it got a cat scan

The video is done and uploading. Its a little over 20 minutes long so its going to be awhile before the upload is completed but I'll post the link as soon as it becomes available. There will be other videos of it working as well.

DIRT!

My therapist says I'm not aloud to talk about dirt. If I do it could really set me back
