Whatcha drinking?

Here's a beer I would like to drink but can no longer find it. I got it in the Canadian province of Alberta decades ago and it had a buffalo---American Bison--on the bottle cap. I can't recall the name. Any ideas?

Coors Banquet beer has been around since 1873. Perhaps a passing fad.

Yep, passing fad, that's it. Think I'll have one more and call it a night. Here's to you Snowman. :drink:

My apologies. I didn't know Coors made beer. They sell truckloads of the stuff in the light colored cans around here, but I have never even heard of a "banquet" beer. Their bulk product is only drinkable if it's cold and you are very thirsty.

I can't verify this, but I have heard it said that Coors has a taste that has a particular appeal to younger, unsophisticated drinkers...and is often a starter beer for the college crowd.

I am fascinated how what beer your drink becomes a "fashion" statement of sorts. If you like micro brews etc, drink up, dark beer, drink up, light beer, drink up. PBR for me. Yuengling if I could get it in CT. I for one have never turned my nose up on ANY beer, some I just like better then others. If I feel like beer I drink whatever is in my hand, complaint free.

I don't mind Coors either. I can live with being unsophisticated as long as becoming "younger" goes with it. :drink:

I usually drink Hot or Iced Tea, but today I think I will change for a day. I'm considering drinling a 48 ounce "Slurpie" in support of the people in NYC.

You do that and I am telling...I'm telling Mayor Blumberg....he may call your sheriff or local representative...but I feel I must report you as dangerous....:confused3:

Around here the kids drank Bud Light / Coors Light or the cheaper Natural Light / Keystone Light.
Most started in High School, not college.

Don't confuse Coors Banquet with "The Silver Bullet".

Coors Light tastes like pure premium mountain spring water, filtered through a dirty sock, with enough abv to get your 19 year old girlfriend just tipsy enough.
