I am having a weird issue with my 2011 Z71. I have noticed small grease specks under my drivers door and now the drivers side tire is showing uneven wear on the inside tread edge. I dropped it off at the dealer yesterday but no response yet. It has 33k miles. Could a bearing or hub be going out, hence the grease? Its weird. Thoughts?

My guess is that they will find an "acceptable" issue. My dad bought a new GM truck. Developed a little "clunk" in the transmission during a shift sometimes. Had it looked at under warranty many times. He was told it was a known issue and there is no "fix". Open a case with corporate, came back with the same answer, that they would not put in writing. Dad still has the truck, and it stills drives perfect, just has that occasional clunk. Good Luck!

So far they found nothing. All seal and boots look good. The tire is out of balance, but I really want to know where the grease is coming from. I see it only under the driver door, not in wheel wells or under the truck.

Was it rustproofed (aftermarket)?
