Thank you. It's been on the farm here for over 30 years but idle for about the last 10 years. . It was an upgrade from a 135 we had from about 1973. Very agile compared to a 1982 188 we also had so it was first choice for the routine tasks during spring and summer like tillage, rolling fields, mowing and tedding hay, drawing in grass to the pit, backing up grass silage, slurry spreading etc. during winter it drove the barley grinder weekly.
All in all a busy tractor in its day.
I remember a friends 4 year old once telling me about helping his dad on his Massey! When I asked him if he would like to see my Massey he was really excited. That was short lived when he saw the 165 in its dilapidated state!
I don't know what was worse, his disappointment that it wasn't shiny like his dads nice modern 6000 series or my dismay at the reaction!
(one of many funny or endearing tales this tractor brings to mind)
On the other hand my little boy loved the old wreck and loved sitting on it!! Wait til he sees it completed!
