I love mine too,It's designed well and works great.I special ordered mine because they sold out and paid $299 for it.Still worth every penny.I still have the receipt from a couple of months ago,wonder if they will reimburse the difference?

I really love my RR. I have had it since January. It has worked perfect for what I do. I am really surprised how well the straps hold and how quick I can put it on my bucket.
I really have limited time to clear some over grown areas of my property. After I finish my mowing with my finishing mower. I put the RR on the front and clear for about an hour or 2. Slowly making progress and the ability to easily clear these areas with out removing my finishing mower has really paid off.

After the grass growing season is over , I plan on taking my finishing mower off and putting my box blade
to smooth it out . I am amazed that the powder coat holds up so well. I actually drag mine across my concrete shed all the time and it does not have a scratch on it. A RR caddy would be great but that is way down on my priority list.

I just used my rake for the first time over the weekend. A handy tool. Good at $199, would have even been better at $99 couldn't find another at that price.

I used and abused my ratchet rake today breaking a cable, bending the metal handle on the tie down strap and cracking the top connector where it attached to the tooth.

Since I have to take it to the welder anyways, I was going to get them to weld a side piece of metal on it to be able to bolt it on to the inside of the bucket using the existing holes that I use for my tooth bar.

Has anyone added side metal bars to the ratchet rake for bolt on convenience?

I've wanted to do that for a while now. If I get a chance this weekend I'll try to get it done and post some pics. I've also been thinking about cutting the bottom row of teeth off and using it more like a tooth bar. Without the straps you could use the bucket to dig and load and still rake while back dragging.

I would bolt the strip of bottom teeth to the mid mount grader blade on my X595 which should turn it into an awesome finish grading rake.

I kind of like the second lower set of teeth because I push in with the top forward teeth (slanted down) and use a roll up movement (while driving slowly forward) to pop up the roots and then the second set of teeth grabs a little lower making most brush removal complete with one pass.

Of course the ideal rake would have remote retractable lower teeth so you could load the bucket up with dirt or back rake smooth.

JN4310, (or anyone else also) I was wondering do both the top and bottom of the rake need to have a piece of metal attached going to the side of the bucket since connecting hooks points are at the top and bottom? Would the rake come off, bend, or crack when backing without bottom support?

No bottom support is needed. It's very strong as are the straps that hold it.
