My machine need 120 amps in single face to get 500amp AC OR DC
There are lots of Electricity Plants, I even have Nuclear one 30 min North
so I guess I have unlimited power, I don't give a f'''k about the bill
I don't have 6k to buy a Lincoln Inverter that is going to last
Does a 500 Inverter will last? don't know and I don't want to know

Sounds like you've got it figured out. Hope you enjoy your welder.

So how much do you think it will cost to bring more power in if you don't have enough? Who said you had to buy a $6000 inverter? Shield Arc bought an inverter for under $300 that's holding up just fine and came with a 5 year warranty. You come on asking for advice on buying a welder and get some great advice on what would best suit your needs but you're too bull headed to listen to it. Originally you were looking at a Lincoln buzz box. How that went to a 400 amp industrial power sucker, I, as well as most others, have no clue. If you do get your TM 400 hooked up and do any amount of welding, you will care about the power bill. If you don't want to listen to experience or testimonials from people who have lower cost inverters, we can't help you. :confused3::mur:

And assuming his house or shop service can handle 128 amps, how much will it cost to pull wire to the welder? Near as I can tell, it's going to take 1/0 wire in a 1.5" conduit. Fun!

How much is going to cost me the shipping to China to get it fix?
Read around this Inverters are "****"
post something negative about them, they will erase the post
I forgot, the great "Reviews" didn't they got the machines for free

All right, fellas, pack it up, we're done here. This thread has officially Godwined itself. I propose a corollary to Godwin's Law for Chicom welders: as soon as someone is accused of giving a positive review in exchange for a free machine, no further meaningful conversation can occur.

Hey, Shield Arc--you enjoying your "free" Everlast PA-200? I sure am enjoying my "free" PA-160STH. James? Too bad you only got in on the "free review" program back when they had the 160, and not the STH, huh? Yeah. Only thing is, I'm pretty sure we all bought our units out of pocket and only say nice things about them because we mean it.

DXN1EL, you're really missing the boat, man. All you have to do is say nice things about an Everlast or a Longevity here on the board, and you get one for free! That's what we were trying to tell you all this time! Since it's free, who cares if it breaks! WOO HOO!

Oh, PS: I can think of three threads off the top of my head here on TBN where somebody posted a problem with the unit and the thread did not get deleted. Whoops.

Well DXN1EL, it sounds like you got the welder you wanted for the price you wanted. I wish you well, and hope you have many good years of service from you Lincoln. Good Luck on your welding journey:thumbsup:
