Thank you sir. Well let me put it to you this way.

In order to get this BX from me you'll have to pry it from my dead fingers. I have NEVER had a tool as useful as this little machine. Its got 32 hours on it and I can assure you its worked like a dog for 30 of them.

I love the fact it can get where its needed. It sips fuel and its not powerful enough to tear itself up yet powerful enough to get the job done. Even my wife loves the little tractor and commented on how much easier it is to do things around the property.

Thank u for the first hand feedback. Like you, I have a grand L but need something for yard mowing and landscaping work. I want a backhoe too. So my choices are the BX25D or the B2620. Still researching what would be best for me.

The BX TLB are often referred to as the Swiss Army Knife of tractors...

Just so darn useful/versatile in a small package!

My neighbor keeps reminding me if I ever sell to think of him first!

Yup. I've heard that said about them before and I totally agree.

Your kindly welcome. I really like our Grand L but man this BX25D is over the top. FEL,back hoe, chipper,QC FEL. Man its got everything covered for my needs. :cool2:

Well I almost froze to death but after 12 hours today I can now get the 5740 down back so I'm ahead of the game now.
I was going to put a POV camera on the BX today but the drizzle started and ruined that idea but I'll try to do it again if we EVER get good weather

OK, I don't have the same level of talent as the rest of you that do mods, but here is mine! Maybe some of you that deal with mesquites will understand where I am coming from and what prompted my idea.

Mesquites have THORNS and are hard on tires. Sometimes, you have to fix more than one flat a day, due to those buggers. I got very tired of that, so decided to come up with other ideas. Well, here is my mod. I put 26 ply, retread AIRCRAFT tires on the front of my JD 1050! I finally got out today, and did some brush hogging, (8 acres, 20 to go!) to see how they feel. They are a bit harder rubber, with less tread depth, so slightly rougher, ride on the front. Very slightly, where I am mowing. If I were on a really steep hill, with wet grass or mud, they might also be slower to turn than the normal tires, but given that we had 1.8 inches of rain Wednesday night, and I was out on Saturday mowing, not a huge issue, but might be, under the right circumstances.

No change in height or other, so here are my few pics.

Looks like it works well compared to the other tires, I can't believe those thorns, I guess No running thru the fields barefoot at your place.

I am tech challenged, so couldn't get photos to separate into the "before" and "after", so hope everyone could tell, If not let me know, and I'll try to share in a different manner.

I was raised a "country girl", so run through most places barefoot, but those blasted thorns don't compost, even after 20 years, so I don't run barefooted through certain pastures! I'm going into the worst mesquite/thorn patch to mow tomorrow, so will REALLY put them to the test. If all is good by the end of the day tomorrow, I'll know this is the last set of front tires I'll be buying for the 1050, unless something really weird happens! :)

Can't say anything bad about my BX23...

I do like the B series for two reasons... the larger front tires would be a plus over rough ground and the higher ground clearance without the concern of the exposed hydro fan...

Don't think you could go wrong with either...

Can't comment on the mowing since I still use my walk behind for that...

I would be very surprised if those thorns stick into your hard rubber tires, let us know with a picture after your done.

Thanks, WaxMan! I just realized this was in a Kubota section. Sorry all! I am bad about seeing the thread and jumping in. Will update after tomorrow's fun anyway. Maybe some will find it useful, no matter what they drive!

TBN all the same here, we won't hold that green color against you. Your tractor looks like its in very good shape for being all green and yellow:) just kidding... It does look good , little wax it will look new.
