Buried my Kubota in the mud last night. Pics

When my Kubota was about a month old, I not only got it stuck, I got my 2WD truck stuck trying to pull it out. I wasn't going to say anything until I saw your pic.

In my case, I went back to the house to have some whiskey in the shade and think up new 4 letter words, having exhausted my inventory. Once everything became clear, I was able to return and un-stick both in reverse order.

Thanks for posting that.

Previous property owner had dug out a stump and left the hole. Overgrown with tall grass, I found it with the right rear tire. Thought I was going over for a second, but it bottomed before that. Anyway, I was stuck.

That tire would just spin in the mud hole. Locking the dif to get drive to the left tire too just made me go in circles around the hole. Friendly neighbor got me out with his tractor about thirty minutes later. We've been friends ever since.

The picture of that in my head just makes me

Ha,ha - the times I've been stuck and never thought of pictures!! I've used the hand come along, thought up new four letter words and fortunately had a very nice neighbor with a bigger tractor. Sticky mud is like a magnet.

Having just built a new road into my property in the 90s, I loaded some friends into my 4wd Blazer to show off. However, the nice gravel road was a trap. The power company had laid my power line under the road. On a nice flat section they had it a huge rock - about 6 feet by 5 feet, and had dug it out. Should have been a clue. The refilled the massive hole - all during nice, very dry weather, and continued. In dry weather I had large gravel dumped on the entire road as a base for my other gravel. All looked good. But then it rained. A lot. Driving my Blazer slowly along the road in 2WD, I came to a stop over the big hole area when the back wheels began to spin. So I simply switched over the 4WD expecting to drive on... But no. The front wheels had started to sink as well. The vehicle was literally sinking into the road. Had to shut off engine when the mud got to the tailpipe. I got out - through the window because the bottom of the door was covered. My friends were not physically able to get out a window and it was a little frightening. But the sinking finally stopped with the Blazer in soft mud right up to an inch or two below the window. I had an early cell phone and called a neighbor with a tractor. We had to spend an hour digging out the back so we could get to the hitch for a tow point, and to try to lessen the mud we'd have to push away as it came out. Got it out several hours later.

That sounds kind of like a "tank trap" in the middle of the road.. Yikes. I bet that was scary!

I remember when I was in high school. I inherited my father's F150, 2wd with an open diff. I learned to carry a shovel and two boards in the back.

Now that I'm a little older the mud still finds me.

Is that the best you could do ? You need 2 wreckers at 300.00 an hr for 4 hrs . That is stuck . Glad you got out with no damage .

All's well that ends well.
If you were on my Christmas list, I would buy a snorkel for your Kubota this Christmas.

My real job is a land surveyor. We hardly ever have a 4wd truck. I've only had my 4wd truck and my tractor stuck once each, but our work trucks, thats another story. I've been pulled out or pulled co-workers out maybe 30 times or more.
