How big is your garden and how many tomato plants?

Now, as a former Maine-e-ack, I know what my best crop was. What is it? OK, now---this is a test---What is every Mainer's best crop? :D:D

Probably the same principle crop we have here. New Hampshire Granite Potatoes, AKA rocks.

Okay, yesterday afternoon I cultivated and top dressed my garden (tomatoes, corn, beans, okra, cucumbers, watermelons, etc.). Then the wife and I spent a couple of hours doing hoe work.

This morning I decided my garden is too big at least that's what my body is telling me!

We are big time farmers...We have (5) tomato plants..one of them is a Cherry tomato plant, We have 4 Jalopeno pepper plants and one Zucchini seed took so...we may have some Zucchinis.

Makes me sick we did not cut more trees down when we built our house...we just don't have enough sun to have a large garden and the farm is 5 miles away ..the deer would eat it all...so we rely on Kroger ...and call it our garden except we have to have our tomatoes , peppers and zucchini...LOL ;)

Deer fence the easy way. Use a double electric fence to keep deer out. If this food plot was not fenced the deer would mow it down! Works for garden as well! Zoom in because the fence doesn't look like much but it absolutely works! Cheap and temporary. Two people can put up a double fence in a couple of hours including fence charger.

I will agree with that statement:D. We are looking for a used plastic mulch layer for next year. It will cut the workload down when it comes to weeding and hoeing.

My deer fence is very much like yours and it works.

And of course a real greenhouse will always have quality plants after the wallymarts, home depot, and lowes of this world are long done. This weekend alone we had xtra sales because buyers said all the big box stores in the area lost all there plants to the freeze temps because nobody actually takes care of them.

AMEN! After a recent rain shower, my wife commented to me that not only does our yard look nice, but the rain was enough to water all the starving plants at the local Walmart. That's how much we hate to see the plants at Walmart be ignored. I could not work there if they told me not to water the plants. After I clocked out, I'd go water plants before going home just because. . . . Even if you have a nice lookin' healthy plant for sale, if it is surrounded by dry and dying plants, the nice one won't sell.

DFB, it must be a hoot working with the public. One of my favorites is the folks with a half dozen plants on their back patio that talk about being self-sufficient and growing stuff to feed their family.:D Oh well. . . if they are buying your product, you just tell them how great they are doing, maybe even throw in a few "made in the USAs" along the way. Then, sell them everything your can.

I really like the 2 ft one I have because it works with a small tractor There is only 25" between the R4 tires on mine and most of the large layers use 3' and 4' plastic.

I have 16"-18" wide strip to plant on after its bedded in...totally enough for single row crop planting. I never see that model advertised online and it wasn't very expensive new either. If I had enough room I would leave 4-5ft between rows to rototill between the plastic and tank spray with the tractor plus be able to tow a harvest cart down between the rows.

The biggest joke for a garden I ever saw is the white house victory garden... used to feed state dinners? What a joke and I wonder how many high paying garder jobs were created?
