I've decided to go with the Everything Attachments 66" blade after speaking with them today. I don't think I'm going to rush into purchasing a Quick Hitch system until or if I acquire more 3 PH attachments in the future but it will afford me the option in the future! I'm going to pull the trigger & order it in a few weeks. I did contact Mark at Stabilworks per your suggestion jeff9366 but I'm going to hold off on that until I see how it goes once I take delivery of the box blade. Thank you to everyone for your input.

EA 66" Box Blade & StabilWorks stabilizer bars ordered!! My driveway won't know what hit it in a few weeks!! I better start practicing getting my BH77 on & off I guess!!!

Find as flat and as level a surface as you can to swap the BH77 on and off. I've done it 3 or 4 times on my B3200 and it was a little bit of pain doing in my gravel driveway which is not perfectly flat or level - and it just seemed to go a lot easier on the concrete floor in the garage. May have just been my technique - I probably need to do it a few times to get it down right.

It's getting the two upper pins aligned properly that is the pain - so that they will come in and out easily.

Newbie question and helpful advice needed. . . Is there a secret to "crowning" the gravel with a box blade?
Our 1/2 mile long dirt and gravel road requires a lot of maintenance when a neighbor scrapes it flat with his 6 ' box blade.
The flat doesn't allow water to run off properly and causes pot-holes to form. His solution is to run the rippers to break-up the top crust and flat grade it again.

Problem is our road has softened up too much and it looks like we're in need of many many loads of gravel again. Can a crown be maintained with a box blade?

Thanks!

Living in the Texas Hill Country that is full of large flat rocks has me stacking 6-8 very large rocks on the top of the boxblade for extra weight. (also have a friend who uses his son's old weight bar and weights for weight which can be removed when needed.) It really helps! Also adds great weight counterbalance when I use the hay spear to load large round bales on the trailer.

My problem is I was never taught how to use the blade or adjust it for various scraping/leveling jobs ... anyone know of an online guide?

And yes you will stop the tractor with a box blade if you get too aggressive.

Perhaps these T-B-N threads, from search/titles/crown will help:

The only way I can think of would be put the tires of one side down into a small ditch.

BTW, you can add weight to a box blade easily - 5 gallon buckets filled with water will work.
Or a 60 gal. plastic barrel, if you can get one (often free on CL)
