bindian; When folks your way are wanting a hurricane, you know the drought is BAD.

Since we are way up high at around 189 feet:rolleyes:...........let it come this way. I just get scared of all the tonadoes a hurricane can spawn.:banghead: I heard one go by while waiting (at night trying to sleep) for Rita to pewder out.
I got the basic hurricane survival toys:thumbsup:..........tractor/loader/backhoe, chainsaw, and generator.
hugs, Brandi

I'll take all the rain I can get.

Bird, I'll do my part:laughing: I have to work in Plano and Allen the next 3 nights, so it will surely rain!

Every thing we grow, what we don't eat fresh we give away,, we have a youth home that will always take it also some older people we know,, plus they will come out and pick it..
along about July/Aug I get tried of pulling weeds and watering.. so I just take care of my small garden at the house,,
every thing I grow here, that we don't eat fresh I make hot sauce out of.. I make about 10 gallons a year..
we did beans and few other things back when we were into canning,, but now we blanch some of the veggie put in a vacuum bags and freeze.. loses a little taste but still good,,
We still have some stuff we canned over four or five years ago, wonder if its like a fine wine its gets better over time..
Would you like to try my 2004 green beans?,Lou

So your signature line is not from personal experience, it's future tense...ohhhh....k.

No hon, I am definitely not an old nag. I don't hang out with those that don't know how to treat a girl right! :D

You kids best get along!:D

It's HOT, 96* Atleast it will be cooler at work tonight, I can deal with 72*

I'm thinking we may have to resurrect the "Texas Heat" thread soon

OH BTW, the tornado in El Reno, OK. has been upgrade to an EF 5 and the widest tornado ever recorded at 2.6 miles wide!! That's a "bigg'n" boy and girls!

I hope it DOESN'T rain in Allen Wednesday night:laughing: It's bad enough to see Dallas, let alone have to go back if I get rained out. If I'm lucky, it will rain from Birds house West.

I agree about the Dallas part. I'd *almost* rather be raped, beaten and left for dead, than have to go into Dallas! I hope you get your work done, Western, so you don't have to go back there later to finish.

Dennis,
I said toys, not tools. I am stocked up on TP though.

Just finished watering the garden. It is HOT and Dry. The wind might help when one is out in it, but doesn't help things stay moist. So, maybe Parker County can get the rain, this time, if you don't mind, jinman!

FG19, you dont understand Jim's watering needs:laughing: During the summers he has about a kabillion feet of water hose and runs his well until mine goes dry, That's why I coined the term "Jim's hose array":D During August, you can look at any weather radar and see a small "blip" of rain,,,it's Jim's house!:rotfl: As further proof, Lake Bridgeport is close to his house.....It is the only lake in North Texas that is 17' low. Bottom line, he aint giving his rain away:laughing: BTW, I heard he also charge $5 for his shower:shocked: Bird told me:D

Brandi, I didn't catch that,,,TB can be a toy too, if there is someones house you dont like!

Raining here as I write this and the local forecast calls for local heavy rain 2-4" thru Thursday night ... been a long time since the ground has been so saturated. Got a lot of spraying and fertilizing to do ... oh well ... I'll just enjoy the rain !!!

Blueriver, all those rains in Oklahoma end up deep down in the Trinity Aquifer. That means I can keep my sprinklers going a long time without running the aquifer dry (even if Dennis gives me a hard time).;) If you can keep down the flash floods and the tornadoes, the rain can do a lot of good even if it seems the current amount is excessive. I know you'd like a dry spell so you could get in a cutting of hay.

TB? Isn't that a disease?
Oh I see TP, OK, Don't forget the 10 steps.
How to Successfully Tp a House: 10 Steps - wikiHow

 Could be a Thoroughbred too! That's what I get for trying to type after being up so long at work.

Blueriver, You remember last summer? take it while you can get it brother! Are you working on the 2nd cutt'n now? I bet you have some residual P&K still from last summer in the ground.

Jim, I have maybe 300' of hose,so, it's like calling the kettle black:laughing: Not enough to be termed a "hose array" yet, but will be close after I order some of those hoses you told me about:D

We must maintain AGL:D:laughing::wink:

Hey, who turned up the heater?? Do I have to put a lock on the thermostat, gee people. Us N texans where supposed to fix the fence on the red river to keep out the cold, but you southerners (Brandie) have to do something about that south wind...Come on, this is a TEAM...99* on the porch?

101.1 at 4:00 p.m.

That's not a radio dial I'm looking at.

If this keeps up, I may have to turn on the A/C.

Well, I broke down and turned mine on, this week! I got tired of being all hot and sweaty, after a day at work of being hot and sweaty! I just keep reminding myself, "It beats the heck out of being cold!"

We're fighting turning on the a/c. If that cold front pushes through tonight as promised, probably won't need to for another week at least. Supposed to get down to 71 tonight. 30% chance of rain. Ceiling fans do help with the heat, as it is very dry here.

I am going to switch to riding first thing in the morning instead of at lunch or after work.

Geez guy's, I had my AC on by March:laughing: I'll do it (work in the heat) if I have to, but da'um, if I have the option to be comfortable.
