As has been said before, I don't know what is with the people in my area when it comes to moving over to the right lane. I'll tell you the right lane is like an express lane here. No one uses it and no one will move to it. Guess it was different when I took drivers Ed in the 60's...Oh ya, no drivers Ed anymore. Maybe that explains it.

So use it! I was online researching another topic last year and was surprised to discover that passing on the right is not against the law in my state, as long as certain criteria are met.
I was even told by the instructor at a defensive driving course that if somebody is travelling in the passing lane, it's ok to pass them on the right.

I'll take two kilos of shrimp and a half kilo of potatoes. Can a US employee figure it out?

Not just trash on the highways.....in our neck of the woods......idiots go up the logging roads and dump TVs' old furniture and you name it. I've have followed pick-ups loaded with household garbage. These same people wonder why the timber companies are locking the gates. It's pathetic......they'll fine you if caught but rarely does that happen. These idiots are ruining it for the rest of us.
Oh, you mean that doesn't just happen on this coast? :(
A big part of the problem is that too many towns have gone to "pay to dump" programs to cut costs. Too many people would rather dump their trash in the woods, than pay $15.00 to dispose of that refridgerator proerly. And what do you do with that 4gallons of engine coolant, that got contaminated with oil when the head gasket failed? Simple, just dump it down the nearest storm drain.

Try a 12 wheel dump truck that weaves in/out at 100 thinking he is a Honda Civic knowing well that the Civic sized space will always open up for him! He did that crossing all three lanes for miles!
Now that was a scary scene! (yesterday on a drive to city on freeway)
Wife was all upset one day. Seems she had this tri-axle bulldogging her. She said she could hardly pull off on a side road to let this idiot by he was so close. Getting on up the road a bit, don't you know that the truck is by a convenience store. I told her she should have photographed the door and I would handle the rest of it. I also told her in the future, two things, one; put the phone on video mode and look at the mirror as best you can while driving and two; someone hits you in the rear while bulldogging you, instant neck and back pain.

I have little time for dime store lawyers but when it comes to bulldogging on the road, all bets are off. And, even though I have my share of road time, I have no sympathy for bad drivers, CDL or otherwise. Had she a photo of the door, I would have forwarded my thoughts to the company as well as cc' to the DOT.

Huh, an electrician told me the exact opposite. With the ground prong down, if the plug isn't quite pushed in all the way; something can fall across the two conductors and cause a short.

Unlikely I know... and I acknowledge that I know nothing about electrical code.

Had it happen at a Hospital of all places... Hospital Spec outlets grip the plugs firmly and someone didn't have one 100% in and a metal cover from a piece of equipment shorted the circuit when it slid down the wall it was leaning against...

Right in my rural road ditch...

Yep.....it costs to dump in our rural area....something like $10 to $15 per load. Easier for the jerks to drive up one of the many logging roads. If I see them.....I will stop it but people tell me that's not a safe thing to do....oh well.....haven't been shot yet.

I was in Walmart today and bought a new Fire Extinguisher.
The Cashier wanted to sell me a 2 year extended warranty.

I pointed out that it said it had a 10 year guarantee on the box.
So much for the extra extended warranty.
