There are 2 seperate issues with the tractor. The first is the fuel filters and loss of engine power that resolves when I change fuel filters but it only lasts a week sometimes 2 before occurring again. The 2nd issue and the most concerning is with the mid pto losing power and occasionally completely stopping; the engine is running normal when this happens. The hydraulic fuid level is full as I just changed the fluid and rechecked the level after running for awhile; belts are new v belts from kubota; deck has been greased regularly; will check the gear box level and sheilds under the deck. I hoped someone had this problem before and it would be something I could repair; if not I will schedule a date for it to go to Kubota. I greatly appreciate the help and suggestions from everyone.

Has any come up with a way to install at better fuel filter like a spin on?

If you are having problems with fuel filters it is because you are either buying dirty fuel or your fuel containers are dirty. If you are having this much problem you may need to clean your tank and blow out the lines. I would also clean my fuel containers. I don't know what to tell you on the pto problem. I don't know if somebody on here has a workshop manual and they could help you.

I do not know about where you live but up here off road diesel and home heating oil has a bio mix. I only use diesel from a dealer with high volume so I know its not sitting around. On the PTO problem could the lever not be adjusted properly and vibrates back to far ?? Dont really know if thats possible as I just sold my BX and cant go out and check. If not then I would definately say its an internal problem for Kubota to check and fix

Are you over greasing? I done that on my 990 mower and the belt would just slip.

hi all, Has anyone ever found the reason for the hesitation in mower deck engagement in a kubota bx2660? It can be engaged and then 5 seconds later engages. Anyone had problem and know the repair?

How are you engaging pto? I always hold it a couple fingers just before full on for 10 second or so and it will slowly spin up and go full on without luggin engine.

Mine seems to engage all at once not matter how slow I engage it.

If I remember right the off road diesel should never be used in these things.
