What kind of oil does it take and where does it go/ where is dip stick so I can check?

When I turn PTO off the temp goes back down in middle, is that where its supposed to be?

I have a air hose to blow at home, will try that but don't think that's problem

Did this problem start within your first half hour of use, or did it take a few hours to show up? It obviously isn't cooling as it should. Blow out the radiator fins, check the fan belt tension, and the coolant level. If that don't work, call the people you rented it from.
You can check the oil on the right side of the engine, and put 15/40 diesel oil in the top of the valve cover. Also when pouring the oil in, leave the dipstick out and pour the oil slowly to keep from making a mess. Good luck with it.

Dirty plugged radiator was the problem, behind the radiator mainly or behind that screen. Runs great now thanks

I have started using a very cheap weed eater brand blower to keep radiator and condenser clean while I am in the field. Every hour I stop and let the tractor idle for 4 or 5 minutes and then shut it down. I do a visual inspection of tractor and shredder and blow off radiator, condenser, tractor and shredder. I also lay hands on the shredder gear boxes to check for excessive heat.

I have caught many small problems that could have become catastrophic failures doing it this way, time well spent in my opinion.
