I've seen lots of folks try, but none "contain" pigs/hogs, unless they are where they want to be, and nothing makes them want to move to the other side of the fence. Best of luck, Eddie!

Try a nose ring. If that doesn't work, put a 3' chain onto it. Of course, you have to have a fence/pen, but the nose ring should keep him from rooting out.

Sure! How about "Mom" over a heart? Maybe some ear piercings and a few studs too. . . and a do-rag. Gotta have a piggy do-rag.

Eddie, I'm sure you know a thing or two about hogs by now, but just in case it's helpful: my opinion is that just about the only thing that'll contain a hog like Oscar is electric. If you only wanted to keep him in a small enclosure, you could do something strong enough that he couldn't get out, but for a field-sized area, electric is really the only option. Being as he's an adult, it'll be a little harder to train him to it, and if he takes a mind, he may end up just going through it no matter what, but it's your best bet.

I thought nose rings were installed when they are smaller (younger). Can you really ring a nose the size of Oscar's?
