Yanmar Tiller Identification and Parts availability

First off, let me say it's great to find these forums,
I've looked here and there and it seems like this is the place for knowledge
on everything tractor and implement.

I recently purchased a Yanmar F20D, It's beautiful and runs great. No Problems there.
I even more recently purchased a Yanmar 48" tiller RS1200-D
It's in pretty bad cosmetic shape, and, wasn't turning when I bought it.
I today opened up the gear box on the side, and the first (top) and second Gears need
to be replaced due to damaged teeth, and the top bearing for sure needs to be replaced
as it's missing a few ball bearings from it. I found most of the broken parts in the gear box,
and pulled them out with a retractable magnet.
So, with all that said, my biggest question is, Parts availability.
Is there any members of the forums here that sell the parts I need, or any knowledge of places that
carry these parts?
I viewed a few old posts about parts, and the links given no longer worked to other pages / site that
I guess at one time sold parts for these tillers.
If this worked right, pictures should be attached below.

Welcome to the site ! I'm sure that tines are available. Not sure about the gears. Try calling hoye (940) 592-0181 or fredricks (256) 340-8899 If the parts can be had, 1 of these 2 places will have them, or tell you where you can get them

Hoye might have the parts too. He recently bought Tractor Ernie's entire parts inventory. But Ernie had posted that nobody ever bought tiller parts so he scrapped a big batch of junk parts tillers.

I found that parts catalog as well, but, I noticed that only the bears and seals had parts number, and not the gears them self.
I will give both places a call today.
I know there are places I can send the gears into that will make replacements but I can only imagine what that would cost. argh

I'll update with my findings.

If someone else has other leads, please let me know as well.

Ok, Update and question for you who might have a better idea of what to do in my situation....

First off, Thanks again for all the leads, Fredrick's and Hoye did not have them.
Coldwater said he could pull them off one in the yard for me. So, thanks for that, Parts found!
My question to you all is this....
This tiller (if you can see the pics I posted on my first post) has been very beaten up.
I'm wondering if once I change out these gears, the chances of something other going wrong with it that might also be as serious as this broken gear problem.
I mean, the guy must have really slammed this thing. Even the PTO drive shaft came with both u-joint broke right off.
How much would you invest in this tiller not know what problems lie ahead, know how it was beaten up by it's previous owner?
I appreciate all insight, thoughts, and advise at this point.
Just wondering if I should cut my losses and start looking for something else, or risk it and lose a few hundred bucks.

P.S. I can't imagine that those gears are weak by any means, how bad would he have to have hit something for it to tear those gears up like that as well?

Getting the whole tiller from Coldwater might save you a lot of trouble.

So far as I know these tillers are near indestructible so yours must have had terrible abuse. Maybe its not a good candidate for restoration. If you buy the identical model then you'll have spare tines etc off this one for years to come.

Shipping a tiller from Washington to Wisconsin might be cost prohibitive. If not, I agree with California. If cost seems prohibitive I would tear things down however far necessary to assure known bad gears, bearings and seals are all that is needed. Looking at your pictures it would seem your tines ought to have a few years left. That looks to be the original tines.

Considering what Coldwater wanted for the two gears alone, I don't think buying a whole unit, and then the shipping to get it from Texas to Wisconsin would be a cost effect solution.
I too have heard these tillers are literally bomb proof. I just wonder if anyone has ever heard of one where the gears have broken. It seems to me something else would have broken first. Even the PTO gear box I would think would break before those gears on the side.
When I took off the top gear the PTO shaft and drive turned freely, and the tines/rod turned well until it got to the bad spot on the second gear.
