Comparison JD 5045 E vs Kubota MX4700E

Another happy customer. 5055E, 16.9X28 R1, Air intake pre-heater, 553 loader, SSQA, Woods 72in round back bucket. It was a rental return w/30hrs, the loader was unused, 0% financing, full warranty. $25K. I looked at a bunch of tractors. This was the most bang for the buck.
My dealer had several rental returns. They go out for harvest, mine to a Christmas tree business, then they are sold. The ones I looked at were in ex. cond. I would recommend asking. You may see rental returns on Tractor House sometimes too.

M5140 is the tractor you should be looking at.. not an MX. The 5140 will the very close in price for a much more stout tractor (but does not have the option for an HST trans.. which is really the point of an MX.. a utility tractor with an HST).

I don't want to tread on anyone's sacred beliefs but Just for friendly discussions sake dose HST and utility tractor belong in the same tractor title?
To me "utility" means get the job done at the lowest unit cost. Dollars per acre, tilled planted or harvested. You might factor in operator fatigue and add power steering and AC to get more done per man day but will an HST ever do more then a gear tractor in a day? That assumes of course that both operators are used to and proficient at their machines.

If you are doing dirt work the operators on a unit with HST seems to work a little faster from what I've seen.



Anyway the MX line are a little light weight. Not that it matters you can add balist weight.
