kubota vs. Kioti?

I can't say about all Kubota tractors but the Grand L would be easy to add a lever at the rear of the tractor for the 3pt. Under the right fender is where the lever connects to the 3pt valve. It would take very little to add a rod going to the rear. I looked into it but I really don't need it with an open station tractor.

2nd) the cruise control doesn't just "click mechanically and you have roughly 10 settings. With this lever, you can really dial in infinite variations of speed. When I was tilling unbroken ground, I was able to dial in at .3 MPH. It may not be used all the time but when it is, it's amazing

I don't think the Kioti cruise control works that way. My LS will hold whatever speed I set with the pedals....no clicking through any settings, and I thought I remembered the Kioti working the same way. You simply push the button when you're at the speed you want it to hold.

Now just curious, and I am not preaching safety by any stretch. Is it possible to lower an implement on yourself by using this lever?

Certainly, you could lower an implement onto yourself, but you wouldn't get stuck there...just raise the lever again. That doesn't mean you wouldn't get injured, but that's always the case. In fact, there is a safety feature to the rear 3pt lever. If you wind up in one of those oddball scenarios where you trap/pin yourself (normally a foot) down with an implement (it falls, etc), you can reach the lever to lift it, and free yourself. No, that doesn't happen often, and should be avoided with proper planning, but it happens.

The only features the Grand L has over the DK is the HST+ and the digital dash display.
The DK is much closer to the Grand L series than it is to the standard L.

It depends on the performance level that you want while operating your machinery. I know for many that you don't use your tractor professionally but performance does count when it comes to production. We have commercial people that run the standard tractors because of reliability and the level of their operators but they prefer the grand L's for themselves as operators as they realize the benefits of the system to get there work done in a more timely manner with less fatigue.

Gee, sounds like the countless thousands of tractor users with regular old HST, world wide, are really missing out! Imagine all the extra things they could get done!

For me at least the dual speed system on the HST+ is the most used of all features, I use all six on any given day no matter what I am doing.

As I have mentioned many times, I was an HST+ doubter and would not have traded my L5030 until it went toes up if not for the introduction of the L60.

Yup, HST+ even loads my dishwasher!!!

Of The HST+ the duel feature is never used just because I forget about it. I now set it to switch automatically. I guess will see how well it works and what it does. I do think its a sweet option but I will report later how it goes.

Now the stall guard is fantastic and is always on for me.
