A cable TV company I work with a lot has a big problem with squirrels chewing on the insulation on their cables. Turns out some cables are manufactured with a cover that is soy based, or other eco-friendly insulation that the tree rats find delicious! Brilliant! They're replacing a lot of cable. I wonder if some vehicles are manufactured with similarly tasty cables & hoses?

I have heard that confirmed that a lot of recent manufactured wire insulation is soy based.

I was leaving my property and smelled gas, looked under my truck and gas was spraying onto the muffler!! :(

That could have been fun.

We have had them chew into electric fence insulators and most recently the cable line, which worked fine until it rained.

It looks like the rodent was also chewing on the white tank near the hose. I also had a rodent chew right through the plastic fuel tank of my wood splitter! Crazy! Just crazy!

Thats the brake reservoir..

My guess is that you will probably need to go to the Audi/VW dealer for that fuel line.

Absolutely right.. no one seems to have it locally or online. It would prolly cost $150 or more anyways. I did, however, find a way to cut the crimp fittings off and use fuel injection rated line and double clamps. Holding so far

Well, my outdoor cat died recently, so... He really did do a good job. Kept everything but the groundhogs and raccoons away... We are in discussions about getting another one, or two.

But, I do believe this happen while at the local beach as I had just popped the hood to check the fluids that day before we left as it was 95 out...

Mice chewed the electrical wire to my fuel gauge so I wrapped it with aluminum gutter guard which can be cut with scissors and easily formed to fit.
