Sticker shock at the service counter

Check out the cost of a 100 hour service on AG tractors. This is not so bad after all.

Leftovers from assembly and break in is why the early first service.

Kubota prices are ridiculously overpriced to boot.
Plastic side panel pins 11 dollars each. Cabin filter 34 dollars. Looks like one from a Toyota car that list for 12 bucks at the dealer.

I've priced motor oil and hydraulic oil locally and the stuff Kubota sells is right in the same ballpark(both regular & synthetic). The only way I could save money is to by it locally in bulk. I do engine oil/filter change annually and if I had bulk it would mean storing motor oil for at least a year maybe more in open containers. Using bulk oil I would save about $10 on an engine oil change. Its just not worth the bother and possibility of moisture contamination.

And supporting the dealer is a good idea too. They will be there when you need them.

I both a lot of stuff from our local Kubota dealer here.

Good folks and I've Never felt they were too high!

Oh and I do all my own work, just buy parts, oil and filters there.

I've found that most of the time the filters from the dealer are a little cheaper than the local Napa.

Same here. Even motor oil is about the same +/-.

Only the UDT2 is more $ than cheap trans oil, But Well Worth It!

Why does the trans fluid need changed after only 50 hours? I can't even think of any good reason to change the gear oil in the front end???

Its to get all of the metal shavings from the gears breaking in and any other contaminants out left behind at the factory. I saw plenty of shinny metal fines coming out of the corners of my front axle. the trans filter had an awe full lot of metal on the magnets. I don't think they hold to the same standards that automobiles are held to when manufacturing
