You could also call the number in your owner's manual and start a case with GM. If you have the part numbers they might help you over the phone. Been there a few times myself. I had one LMM Duramax that blew a transmission hose one year after warranty had expired. the truck had few miles on it. They replaced the hose free when the dealer would not. Can't say enough good about GMs warranty.
Side note: I see lots of add on systems with emissions, extra airbags, creature comforts and such. Folks if you don't think this stuff adds money to the price think again. I tell people all the time if you voted for clean air better be ready to pay for it in added fuel costs and extra repairs. Wait until all the coal fired plants get their scrubbers up and running, 20% extra fuel needed to clean the particulates. In the end we al pay.
I see Sprinters, Benz diesel vans needing $1000 dollar EGR, DEF system repairs at 2 and 3 years old. VW TDI 2009 up exhaust system failures that cost upwards of $5,000 dollars to replace after the turbo has polluted them with oil. These new diesels get really expensive fast.
