new to tbn as i am restoring an abandoned 20 acre orchard/farm and will soon buy my first machine
my local dealer charges list price and only offers the kubota factory rebate
i am paying cash so no finance issue
i am located on the RI/MA line
any help would be greatly appreciated

Do your homework.I bought a Kubota ZTR mower and a Kubota RTV 900 and each time I got a good discount because I PAYED CASH.IMHO,find a different dealer.Remember cash is king when buying.coobie

I had a Kubota dealer tell me that too. The Kioti dealer I ended up buying from have me a package price, then negotiated on a counter-offer. I have a feeling they can do what they want and you just need to find a dealer that actually wants to sell you something.

My tractor and RTV purchases have been 13% to 15% off but they won't discount parts. That is using Kubota financing but they don't charge extra if you pay cash.

Find another dealer, one that wants your business. Also check online, confirm a price from another dealer, and then show your local guy. A lot of times they will match the price.

When I bought my first Kubota in 1995, I checked with 4 different Kubota dealers and got 4 different prices, so yes, they do negotiate some, although I cannot tell you how much.
