The 1700 Series both Premium and Economy Models will be built by ISEKI for Massey Ferguson.
The Premium 1700 Series will feature new Tier IV Final Engines by Mitsubishi Power. The 1736, 1742 & 1749 will be a 3 Cylinder 1.7L Engine and the 1754, 1758 & 1759 will feature a 4 Cylinder 2.2L Engine. Both High Pressure Common Rail Fuel Injection engines which are Electronically controlled...a feature Massey Ferguson has been using in larger tractors for many years. It increases fuel economy and performance. They will have a Diesel Particulate Filter to meet the strict Clean Air Regulations but change interval is estimated at 3,000 Hours. This will eliminate the need for use of Diesel Exhaust Fluid in this service of tractors and most owners will not see increased maintenance with the Clean Air Components. Transmission in the Premium Series will be a 12x12 Power Shuttle or 3 Range Servo Hydrostat with Electronic Control to adjust Max Speed, Response Control or how aggressive the transmission reacts to the foot control and Electronic Cruise Control plus Stall Guard monitors engine performance and adjusts travel speed if the potential for engine stall is reached. Electronic PTO Engagement with Soft Start Feature. Cab and Platform Models. Digital Dash Panel. High flow Hydraulics the 3 Cylinder Models will offer 11.6GPM at Remotes and the 4 Cylinder Models 12.8 GPM at the Remotes. All will be 4wd. Pricing compared to the current closeout promotions on 1600 Series is approximately$1,500 to $3,000 more from first glance at actual selling prices. I would recommend visiting your local Massey Dealer for exact price quotes.
1700 Economy Series is a NEW Product offering and class of tractors that Massey Ferguson has not been able to compete in since in the past they offered a Premium Product only but these new Economy Models are not short on features either. Currently 2 models 1734E and 1739E feature Tier 4 Final Shibaura Engines. THey will be assembled at ISEKI with ISEKI transaxles. It will feature similar Diesel Particulate Filter with similar life expectancy. Transmission Options will be a 9x3 Mechanical Gear Transmission or a 3 Range Hydrostat with rocker style pedal. Steel Hood, Fenders and Platform. Straddle Mount Platform. Analog Dash Panel. Mechanically engaged 4wd on all models. Mechanical PTO Engagement. 1600# 3pt Lift at 24" behind Pivot Pin. L100 Loader will be the loader option. 1734E is 6.7GPM ar Remotes and 1739E is 7.2 GPM at Remote Hydraulics. These tractors do not replace current models but are a new entry into a growing segment of Compact Tractor Owners that want a new tractor at an economical price without all the bells and whistles.
Hope that helps understand. We just learned a lot more yesterday on the new models that should start arriving in the next 30-60 days.
