HI-I have a 2012 GMC 2500 HD Durmax 4wd, Crewcabshortbox which does most of it's life pulling a 3horse Bumper pull WW aluminum trailer and 4horse gooseneck Featherlight. I annoy other drivers in the am because both trailers cause my headlights to shine into their eyes like I have the brights on and I'm looking at Timbrens as a way to stop that without having to reaim my lights. I have searched this site and find a few references to Timbrens, but no discussion of them in the 27 references that I looked at on this site. My specific concern after looking at some complaints on the internet is some find that when the truck is empty it can cause more banging and noise as the axle hits the Timbrens. I've found no real criticism of them as helping when pulling.
So my questions for those that have them or decided not to get them, how do they work when the truck is empty? Good investment? Do they work as advertised? Anything else??
Since my truck is essential new and the 11 models on up have beefed up their suspension, I'm hoping that I'd not have a problem with the truck unloaded, but I'm interested in experiences of the TBN crowd.
Thanks. Bill
