can anyone help me I know you can run hyd lines off your tractors hyd pump. so I can run a log splitter off the tractor. but I don't know how to do this please help thanks Gary

Yep.....it will work but the cycle time will be real slow.
I bought a 3pt hitch splitter and connected it to my 22hp Yanmar years ago. Slow. Bought a tank, pump/Honda engine combo, axle/wheels and built a real splitter.

Better off to get rid of the old obsolete N Ford and purchase a real tractor . That has a drawbar, live high volume-high pressure hydraulics, SCV and live pto.

Being kind of hard on the old ford aren't you? I would imagine its paid for and has down everything needed till this task.

I bought a 3032E this summer and had to sell my 8N so I could afford it. If I could have done it any other way I would have never gotten rid of it. I hope to have another some day... they are a nice useful little tractor for sure. You need to get a pretty big tractor to get decent flow rates anyhow (11+ GPM). My wood splitter has a 16 GPM 2 stage pump on it with a 4" dia cylinder and I still would like it to go faster. I think a PTO powered pump or a stand alone really would be your best bet.

You won't find a 25 hp tractor made today that will hold a candle to them old fords, I got one that rakes hay, bush hogs, grades the driveway, and even winches a little wood in the winter all while my 2005 John Deere 790 sits in the barn, different animal all together. I have less in 10 years maintenance and repairs in both my ford N's than 2 months of payments on my new tractor. I have a 3 point splitter, sucks on the ford NAA, sucks on the JD 790 and sucks on the Massey 135, the skid steer is where its at, I run it on the aux hydraulics there and now where talking. I agree PTO pump is the way to go.
