what did the remote start run??can it be pick up online? thanks im also looking foward to seeing the venting

Up here the remote from the dealer retails for $257. My price $220. I could have got it online for $187 but by the time you factor in shipping and duty it would have worked the same or a little more. I could have adapted an automotive remote start to it but it wouldn't have been a clean install and the OEM was basically plug'play. I have a Battery Tender on it so there's also a slight mod that needs to be done to the auto start to be able to use the tender on it other than that it was a breeze. Starting the generating operating shelter this week. Should be fun

Somehow I remember someone giving you a set  Drop by and see the remote start. I'll show you the little mod that needs to be done to keep the Battery Tender on. ;)

Yesterday was the perfect day to get a few tractor chores done. Wifey and I decided that we would not do anything else with the property for the rest of this year because we just have to many projects to right now. As some will know, the 5740 is used exclusively for snow clearing but this summer we got to use it in conjunction with the BX25D so It really needed to be serviced and cleaned up which I did in great detail including any paint that needed to be looked at.

I also did the BX as well. It's now in it's stable and the only time I'll see it is to fetch it to fit the newest mods to it. The 5740 has it's snow blade back on and it's cleaner than new and in it's stable as well. The next time I place my butt in it there will be snow on the ground.
So these are a few photo's of the day. I did end up mowing the grass in the dark lol but I got it all done. :cool2:

What a beautiful day! I figure I have about until Halloween to continue outdoor projects. Just gets way to wet after that. Problem is the number of available days are much less due to my heavy business travel in the next two months. Looking forward to your generator mod... Hope to be right behind you on that one!

Looks good 4Shorts. Feels good to have clean and serviced machines. I have to do my 700 hour service on the 3830. Not looking forward to it. I believe it's time for hydro fluid change. Blah!

What brand led lights are those on your backhoe? I'm planning to add some to my zero turn when I get it. I'm usually mowing into the night as well! Lol

Saturday was fantastic but Sunday was crazy with record amounts of rain. On the way into the city we seen vehicles off the road including tractor trailers. People just won't slow down. In a 45 minute drive we seen five machines destroyed. Haven't hear if there were any injuries yet.

Ya this having to work for a living sure is a royal pain so I know what your talking about when it comes to time and lack of it. I'll have all the steel on site by tomorrow to start the gen shelter. I'm still waiting on some hardware but that shouldn't be long. I need to pour a cement pad to place it on so there's plenty to do. Now the evenings are getting so short :(

I don't think I'll do progress photos on the gen shelter. Not sure if there's enough interest to justify that. I may just do a video of the final completed project but you will get to see it

Oh ya. Clean is good. Got the two of them like new again. The hydro change is the worst. Trying to get the right container under the drain and then making sure it will hold enough fluid but it has to be done.
The rear lights are 3" Cree. Nice lights. The front ditch lights are Rigid. They are nice but not cheap. I really don't see a lot of difference in the two and I like them both. Rigid has nice packaging but that don't matter once on the machine. I usually never now at night. I just had so much to do Saturday I got caught in the dark.

My unlce had an old military surplus Winco generator for his cabin.

He built a small "Concrete" bunker into the hill which eliminated any noise reaching the cabin...

Used the set up for about 30 years till the county ran power to the area.

Paul... Great video on the exhaust, camera and wiring! Excellent information.

Its funny you mentioned zip ties not cut smooth. I started a post in Kubota buying forum about new Kubotas having zip ties sticking out. It would be awesome to get your comments on there.
