Thanks Piston. The tires are loaded with calcium. I thought hard about 60" or 72" and went with the 60" because I wanted something I could wiggle thru the woods with a little easier.
I've been all over the internet and TBN the last 4-5 months, talked to some other tractor owner friends and tried to build a package that will last for years to come... time will tell I guess.

Not trying to second guess your decision, but I have a similar size tractor and the 5' would not cover my tire tracks. Due to slopes, I do have my rear tires set to their widest position.

no bucket hooks... I'll prolly add them myself

That will work, I took mine up and had the dealer weld them on and paint them as they didn't charge anything extra. I did take a picture and explain where I wanted them.

If you use calcium you might want to use tubes to prevent your rims from rusting.

Sometimes making an educated decision are the hardest ones to make. Down the road I may regret not going larger but this certainly beats using a bush saw!! lol

They sure are hard, fortunately, though it didn't seem like it at the time, I grew up on a farm driving tractors. I have cutters from 4' to 10', between my brothers and I, we have nine rotary cutters and eleven tractors and sometimes still have to scratch my head as to what's best; good luck.

We got out of farming for a while and at one time, my brush cutting equipment consisted of a chain saw, ax, Kaiser blade and my ten year old son, so I can sure identify.

I honestly didn't think they still installed CaCl.

you will love your mx5100 hst tractor.i owned 1 for 2.5yrs an loved it.the tractor did everything i asked of it an more.the only reason i traded it was we needed a bigger hp tractor to hansle 5 by 6 bales.plus we wanted it to pull a cutter an rake.so i stepped up to a 7040 SU.

Yep, plenty of places still do. It's heavier than Rimgard, and cheaper (last I knew). Still, I'd go with RG on anything new.
