Thanks! Just mowed the lawn for the first time with it, now that the grass is finally growing here. OH MY GOD. That thing is great! I mowed the whole yard in 45 minutes... It used to take me two full hours with my wheel horse c120. And it did a better job! I can climb hills now with power to both rear wheels that the open differential couldnt tackle. I can turn on a dime even in awkward sloped spots. I hope this thing lasts. I'll probably pump out the hydrostatic fluid and replace with synthetic when I hit 100 hours.

End of season update. I still love this tractor. It really does a great job in no time. I figured out how to adjust the striping wheels on the deck, and now my lawn has really really great stripes. I mow the exact same path in the exact same direction each week, set to the second highest cut height, and man my lawn looks like a ball field. The hydros do whine a little bit, but the fluid is a major ordeal to change (sealed hydro units). I'll just keep ignoring it probably until the end of next season. Again, this tractor is really a pleasure to drive - highly recommended.

Good to hear!!! I've always heard that you should change directions each time and it helps the grass stay healthier, but I'm no expert and don't know really "why". I think it's normal for the HydroGear trannies to have a "whine" sound to them(my ZT-3400 commercials kinda have a "whine" too) so I wouldn't worry too much about that. So, approx. how many hours have you put on it so far this season???

Yeah, I've heard that too, but I cant imagine what its supposed to do. I certainly get strong lines when I mow the same way each time.
I put about 20-25 hours on this season, since the thing mows so fast. It now has about 105 hours on it. I'll probably do some PM on it before spring, and I wont use it at all in the winter. I wonder if there's any useful mods I can do to her?
