The 600 gig is a bit deceiving, as are all things photographic.
I shoot primarily in RAW format. ( That doesn't mean nakeed or bare footed as your used too:laughing:)
The camera I used for most of these shots produced a RAW 3288 x 2472 image a little over 8.0 MB each depending on the subject and lighting. It had a small 640 x 480 .jpeg embedded in it.

The Canon SX50 I got last May when the old one crapped out produces a 4000 x 3000 ( 12 MP) RAW image around 13 MB plus a full size jpg 4000 x 3000 around 2 MB so it adds up fast. The .jpg is usually very satisfactory, but in cases where quality counts, light zones are extreme, or you can't take the shot over, RAW gives you the ability to change all the factors around as if you were taking a new shot at different settings without any degradation to the image, as many times as you like making it different each time.

Ron, it looks to me as if you had a great view of the area when you took that picture. Beautiful country.

Yes, that is the area where my ancestors on my mothers side settled when they came from Ireland to PA and then to there in 1817. That little log shack with the front porch was the area post office.

When I was young I loved to climb the old fire lookout tower ( near the center of the pic) to get a great view of the area but when they added the communication tower ( near the right side of the pic) which is really only a few hundred feet from the fire tower, it sure took away my desire to climb :D Ron
When I was little, I would climb up on Dad's workshop (I was in charge of straightening all used nails during construction) and would watch the planes land at the local grass field airport. I could see downtown Houston from there. We had a telephone pole (electricity to the barn) right beside the shop, so I could prop my feet up on it and not slip off the steep, shingled roof. On trips to Grandpa's farm, I would climb the fuel tank and stare out over the Panhandle's rolling view and the shadows the clouds made.......and dream. Only once took up an old instamatic camera and took a photo of the area and Grandpa's John Deere D model. I gotta look for that old photo.

Somebody has to work when y'all are play'n:confused3: I cant trust in "voodoo" waternomics:laughing:

Speaking of voodoo waternomics, I think you may have some parking lot jobs in Boulder. . . if you can catch them as they float by. Sheesh! What a mess, and God bless those folks who are dealing with it.

Ron, I was stunned one time when I went on a recruiting trip to New York when all the maple trees were at their peak of fall color. That shot you took is beautiful, poster grade.

Does anyone here have experience with Texas Farm Bureau Insurance? Their rates are really good, but don't have any experience with coverage or claims. They have a customer favorite award from JD Powers. Don't know if that really means anything.
I been a member 18 years auto/home and farm equip./lease land
