That is a gorgeous field, TXDon!
Your previous post sounded like you had it running. Is that right? If running, see if you can add some "in tank" carb cleaner. Soaking in carb cleaner would make it toast for sure. I would say a teaspoon of transmission fluid, but that might harm the Onan's block. It's air cooled, right?Brandi, it is an Onan marquis Gold 5500 50amp gas. They uilt the carb as a total replacement, which is from what I understand, the only negative to this genset.
From searching Onan and RV forums, this is the most common problem with the Onan, one thing for sure, they have to be cycled under load for an hr or two a month to prevent varnish buildup with the ethanol fuels we have now.
So I rode out and was checking cattle yesterday and my father showed up anyways longer story short we have had fly problems. I have sprayed them several times already,so he says to me the old wise tale is that its a sign going to be a bad winter. Has anyone heard this same old timer wise tale? I am just curious I am in no way set for one.I have already been feeding hay, good thing got 2.5in rain the other day and more yesterday so grass is greening with the warm fall weather.
