Brandi, it is an Onan marquis Gold 5500 50amp gas. They uilt the carb as a total replacement, which is from what I understand, the only negative to this genset.
Your previous post sounded like you had it running. Is that right? If running, see if you can add some "in tank" carb cleaner. Soaking in carb cleaner would make it toast for sure. I would say a teaspoon of transmission fluid, but that might harm the Onan's block. It's air cooled, right?
hugs, Brandi

I ran a double shot of Seafoam in the tank with fresh gas + Carb cleaner straight into the throat. It is running, but not as it should (rough and under power). Yes it is air cooled.

From searching Onan and RV forums, this is the most common problem with the Onan, one thing for sure, they have to n
be cycled under load for an hr or two a month to prevent varnish buildup with the ethanol fuels we have now. The carbs are EPA certified, so no rebuildable parts, meant as a total replacement, dumb, but a California rule i understand.

Here is a short thread with almost the same symptoms I have, and no doubt gas was allowed to age in the tank for who knows how long!

So I rode out and was checking cattle yesterday and my father showed up anyways longer story short we have had fly problems. I have sprayed them several times already,so he says to me the old wise tale is that its a sign going to be a bad winter. Has anyone heard this same old timer wise tale? I am just curious I am in no way set for one.I have already been feeding hay, good thing got 2.5in rain the other day and more yesterday so grass is greening with the warm fall weather.

My last motorhome had an Onan 7000 and I loved it, but a you said, they do need to be run under load. I had one pretty expensive repair a little while after the warrant expired, but I wrote a letter to Onan and included a copy the receipt. Repairs had been done at an authorized Onan service facility. And they promptly sent me a check to completely refund what I paid for that repair. It's been quite a few years now, but one of my brothers who used to work for Camping World went to the Onan factory and became a certified factory trained technician. I do like their generators.

I've heard the same thing. Flies have hatched out here. Going to be real cold, and I was suppose to start getting things in order but rain/mud trapped me inside plus football. Got just over an inch.
