Snow Equipment Owning/Operating New FEL Mounted Snow Plow Delivered Today

My new FEL mounted Snow Plow was delivered this morning straight from Canada. While I haven't had a chance to take it off the pallet yet, I figured I'd post a teaser picture of it. (Don't worry I'll take more pictures once it's put together.)

It has a fully galvanized frame with poly blade and hydraulic angle. It comes with a really nice SSQA mount designed specifically for a tractor FEL; it is a floating design with chain arm like you see on a truck mount that allows the blade to float independently of the FEL.

Can't wait to put it together!

Yeah, I ended up buying the 7.5' Arctic Heavy Duty Poly Blade HD90-P plow with FEL SSQA mount (unfortunately, they don't have a picture of the mount on their web site to point to.) I must have looked at over a dozen different plow designs and manufacturers, and Arctic had one of the nicest designs for the money (not to mention also one of the nicest companies I've ever dealt with.) It should pair up nicely with the L4760. I can't wait to get it setup.

Congratulations my friend. It's a nice unit. I've been running my Arctic poly plow since 1993 and now its on the 5740. You'll have that for a lifetime. You got good taste :thumbsup:

I know - He teases us all by saying he's going to get one of those new B50's - strings us all along - and then he goes out and get's an L4760 , and now this!

But seriously - looks like a nice plow. I'm thinking of getting a plow for my B3200 - how did you order, was it direct from Arctic or is there a dealer in our area? It looks like their Arctic Poly light duty or Arctic Poly Standard might be a good fit for my tractor - wondering what the pricing is like. And if they have an SSQA mount available for the smaller plows.

I ordered the plow directly from Arctic since there were no dealers in the New England area. I ended up working with John Kidd, Arctic's sales manager, to get a quote. He was really great to work with and spent a bunch of time answering all my questions, so I could pick the right plow setup that worked best for my needs. As for the pricing, while I expected to pay more since it was coming from Canada, surprisingly enough, it was actually cheaper than ALL the other plow setups I looked it (and it only took a few days to get delivered from Canada.)

As for the SSQA loader mount, it is the same for all their different plows. If the chipper doesn't get dropped off on Sunday, I'll work on getting it setup and take some pictures (although, I still need to buy a couple hydraulic hoses since I didn't know the length I needed when I purchased it.) If I do get it, then it will need to wait another week before I can post pictures since I'm trying to finish clearing some land so I can setup the Shelterlogic building before winter hits (I need to store the L4760 somewhere! )
