I am looking for a rear facing blower. I can find many 50" and 60". I would really like a 54". The only one I have found so far is from Quick Attach and it is quite a bit more than most other brands. I have looked at Northern tool, farm king, wood maxx, land pride. What other options? Thanks.

Why so picky? 6" either way shouldn't be a huge deal, depending on which compromise you want to make (doesn't cover track or takes too much PTO power you don't have). But you can always go slower with a bigger blower...

I'd suggest you go with a 60" since they're pretty common.
As far as other brands, there's Woods (who sells a 54" blower), Erskine, Puma...quite a few others (Canadian rather then Chinese (Northern Tool, Wood Maxx)).

Added: Sven has a Kubota B7610 which has 18 PTO HP. That limits his options somewhat, Woods sells a 54" and a 64" that are rated for 15 HP minimum (http://www.woodsequipment.com/snowBlowers.aspx).
One option he can consider is getting a smaller (42-50 inch) blower and add wings.

As far as the Quick Hitch...sometimes you have to modify the implement or not use the Quick Hitch. I do this with my Woods chipper since I haven't modified it yet (for QH compatibility). With a snow blower, you can build a dolly to ease hooking it up to the 3PH after the QH is removed. That's what I do with my chipper...the wheels on the dolly make hook up and removal quick and easy.

I agree with Roy, go with a 60" ....it wont make any difference. I did this with my old tractor, and ran it for 14 years. As far a QuickAttach brand, i use them, and they are built to last. Very thick steel, very well built in USA.. I have been impressed with all 3 of my Quick Attach brand impliments.

I just looked at the website...doesn't list PTO requirements (since it appears they are hydraulic driven), but even the smallest one (55") requires a minimum of 11 GPM...

?? roy, their rear facing units do not require hydraulic hookups, only their forward facing units. There not listed on the opening website pages, you have to look at their entire inventory of snow removal equipment

Yes I did look at the front mounts (my error)
I do see the correct web page now. I see the specs for both the 520RM (54" wide) and the 620RM (60" wide) are 20-35 PTO HP.
Sven's B7610's 18 PTO HP is a bit below the recommended minimum...

The weight of those two blowers (725 and 735 lbs, respectively) will require front weights of some sort (FEL or suitcase weights).

oh, only 18hp...that is a bit low. my 60" blower on the old JD870 had 28HP available. with that setup i had no issues.

Yep...IIRC, the 870 had 28 (as you wrote) gross HP and 23-24 at the PTO. Still quite adequate.

The Woods units (see post #3) have a 15 PTO HP minimum recommendation. I'd guess any of the suggested blowers may require partial width passes with a B7610.

Being low on HP would probably mean going extra slow in a deep snowfall. At worse you may have to stop for a moment when the blower starts to bog the engine down. With HST that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Most the time it wouldn't be much of an issue. How wide is your tractor?
