I cannot express how much I hate thieves. I have been robbed blind and am not going to take it anymore. I am going to put the tractor in it, and nothing else for a while, and check back to look for signs of attempted break-in. If it looks like people are prowling around, I am going to start checking things out late at night periodically, perhaps even hiding back in the woods with my Colt 10mm holstered and my 12 gauge in my hands. I am done with this crap.

I was thinking of putting a container in a container if I can find the right sizes.. Make them work 2x as hard

A sea box on one of our projects had a substantial amount of copper pipe stolen from it on a weekend. It didn't matter that we had a very robust locking method for the doors. The thieves cut a hole in the opposite end and slid 20 foot lengths of copper out. If they want something it's hard to stop them. At least with cameras you might be able to catch them.

Great point. A quality IR hunting game camera can be easily found for 100-150 bucks. I would get 3 and mount them high in trees with views of the container and where you expect a crook to park his truck. Verify that the tags can be read by parking your truck there and looking at the images.

One might want to check with the laws in one's state regarding 'protection' of ones property,,, I do know you cannot set a 'booby-trap' as you would be responsible for any injury,,,

I never said I was going to kill anyone. However, I can certainly protect myself and my property. Part of the reason this stuff is happening so often is because people are just taking it laying down. I refuse to sit back and allow some druggie to steal everything I have ever worked for in life. My tractor and all my tools are the only way I can build my shop and house. If they go missing I am screwed.

Seems I read a thread on here a year ago about somebody with a vicious dog recording. The perp ran off, tripped in the dark and broke his leg or something. The bark was classified like a booby trap and the owner was found responsible for the medical bills.
But it was a while ago that I read that, not that the laws have changed, but I may not have the story straight.
