I agree, those blue Western gloves are terrific. I bought a red pair a few years ago at the orange box store and although they were nice, I wore through the fingertips within 6 months. I then saw them at HF and figured for less the 5bucks, I'd give them a shot. I now have a pair in my truck, on my tractor and in the garage, can't beat them.
On the other hand, the knit gloves with latex palms and fingers get sticky and unwearable if anything even remotely solvent like got on them, but I bought some similar ones form the local Home Despot in nylon knit with an orange rubber-like coating that I think is actually polyurethane, which is much less sensitive and they got through the washer and dryer like champs. They were sold in a 5-pack and while I bought 2, I wish I had bought several more, though I haven't worn through any yet.
