Fred, what is your opinion of the Toyota Sienna minivan?

My sister had a 2006. She drove that thing hard for over 200k. One of the power sliding doors needed fixing so they traded it in. Her's was an awd limited. I'm sure if you asked her she would have nothing but great things to say about it. Never had anything more than routine maintenance done to it. But with her kids going off to college she didn't need that much room.

I just realized, you can have your Prius with sirup on it. You just have to rearrange things a bit. It is easy to understand how folks like these cars. The only thing I don't like about them is the profile is blocking my view of what lies ahead. There should be one lane for: Prius, all mini-vans, jacked up trucks, and semis. And, another lane for Ford Thunderbirds.

We have 2 on my road, only 12 homes. One is a 2010 with 150,000 trouble free miles. Only thing changed is one head light bulb. Down side is its heavy so 35000 miles is about all for a set of tires Chris

Didn't know that they're heavy, third generation Prius weighs 3090 # and the similar inside room Camry weighs a hair over 3200#. Several owners on another forum are getting 65K to 70K miles on the Michelin LRR tires.

I've heard that the battery weighs like 1200#, and you can't drive them when it's raining, replacement battery costs $5000 and only lasts 100K miles. They will also turn you gay, even if you just ride in one.:confused2::confused2::confused2:

I realize the previous post is in jest but I think some people envision a bank of full size lead acid batteries, all connected together, taking up half the undercarriage of the vehicle. It's more like the silver box here.

ok all u Prius owners, I got a question... do these cars come with a little invention called CRUISE CONTROL?? I got behind one just today, freakin pos would slow down 5-10 mph on every hill, causing me to have to let off the throttle and hit the brakes going up hill in a 70 mph zone! VERY frustrating. Its not the first time i have witnessed this with the Prius. Im about to decide that instead of watching the road or the speedometer, all the Prius drivers are watching some "fuel savings" idiot indicator screen on the dash!.

The problem isn't so much the car as the loose nut behind the wheel.
