There were 275 in 2004 according to The I-95 Exit Information Guide - Travel Forum • View topic - South of the Border billboard question. I'm not greedy -- I would settle for the money they spend on half that number.;)

Steve

Now I knew there were a ton of them, you just get tired of seeing Pedro after a while. Maybe good to keep kids occupied.
and in the mood to buy something, of course...

I'm about half way going through the list and updating the map. And then I will try a screen print. 7435 miles so far, bet that goes up a bit by the time I'm done.

wolfcreek pass is nothing compared to going north over the million dollar highway, that is one scary rd, but yet tractor trailers do drive it.

If going all those places, then should go thru Ten Sleep and hit Dirty Sally's...

down to Lake yellowstone, then exit via the east route to Cody Wy. In Cody, visit the Erma, hotel / restaurant built by buffalo bill. From cody go east over the Bighorn mts to Sheridan. Visit little big horn, then unless you really want to go thru ND, I'd recommend I90, visit Devils tower, then Mt rushmore via Rt 16 and custer state park. Sturgis bike week is the first week of Aug.

guilty, sort of... South Of The Border ~ America’s Favorite Highway Oasis Anyone who has gone up and down 95 many times in the Carolinas as I have, knows the South of The Border signs all too well. Ok, yes, it's kitschy Americana. It's just that I've seen those signs too many times, not because I'd rather see signs for World Peace or Uncle Goober's Shrimp Fry. Actually I might turn in for the shrimp fry...;) Pedro says this and Pedro says that and Pedro is apparently who you should listen to...

Wonder if South of the Border still has pay toilets?

I think you posted your "Good morning" post here by mistake. Glad you're not in too much pain, and got it taken care of.

In this thread, are you looking for recommendations for great restaurants, too?

Geez, that's embarrassing...I was flipping back and forth between those threads. Oops. Thanks.

Restaurants? You bet, though most of my cooking I do myself, I enjoy it. If I eat out all the time, I'm likely to
gain too much weight. So if there is a real specialty restaurant, not just an American steak joint or diner, and there sure are plenty of those..., I'd be interested to hear what you liked. Might overwhelm this thread though?
And, sadly, no super spicy food. Ah the stuff we used to eat...

But in each state I'd like to sample that State's cooking, which I know is hard to do in one lunch or dinner, but if there is someplace I just should not miss, you bet, it goes on the map. That reminds me, need to do a screen print.

tried to do a screen print and erased the entire thing. Not going to do that again. I don't want a Google Maps account because I know what will happen, they will sell that info and I'll be bombarded by every real estate agent and whatever along the entire path of my trip. So I couldn't save it...ok, back to Streets and Trips. I can push pin on that, save, and convert to a readable format. Well, good exercise...

I have a POI (point of interest) file on my GPS. That give me all the "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" locations throughout the US. There is a APP for that. But it cost money. Some very interesting places to eat. Most will not help with your weight control. I not sure the POI files can be entered into a Magellan GPS. I have a Garmin.
I see your trip does not hit northern IN. Every RVer should spend a day or two in Elkhart, IN. RV capital of the USA.
If you like Car Museums. There is the Gilmore Car Museum and The Henry Ford.
You will notice that I am leading you toward MI on your trip. So many places to visit, so little time. :D

Someday I gotta do that. I'd love to see all of Canada and the US. Man I envy your travels!

thanks JimmyJ. I'm 63 with degenerative arthritis and the time has come for me to hit the road while I still can.
I've been to Europe and England only once, and would love to go to back to Germany, and maybe even further to find the old homestead, if it still exists, but that's all pie in the sky stuff right now. Well I'm might be driving a Ford instead, but I hope to mimic See the USA in your Chevrolet...

And with the camera running, I'm going to be recording for close to 8000 miles. Has to be something interesting..:)
And hopefully not a high res video of some moose or bear or seriously significant animal walking in front of the motorhome. Kinda wonder if I should have "roo bars" put on it. That is sure no bumper on this thing.
