I don't know how they are flying in Arkansas but I have a question for you duck hunters. The only time I ever ate wild duck I didn't like it. Very dark meat and greasy. I don't know what kind it was. Which ones are good to eat?

We slice it and marinate in Italian dressing and grill it with cheese on top. Pretty good

I was in Stuttgart around 12 years ago, and I was simply amazed at the numbers of Waterfowl in the skies-both Geese and Ducks. This happened for hours and as far as the Eye could see.

Stuttgart Arkansas is called the waterfowl capital of the USA. That is what keeps that town alive, the duck and goose hunters come from all over to hunt there. There was a news story on last week about how the ice storm had slowed down the hunting which had put a dent in local businesses income

All duck is greasy. It's how they stay waterproof. :) Look on the Food Network's website for techniques on cooking duck.

Depends on recipe, and how they are cooked. different ducks tast different too. Some are earthier tasting; ie bottom feeders. Also depends on location, what thier diet is. There are 100's of ways to cook duck...

I don't know if it's still there, but Hunt Brothers' Trucking used to have a Training Facility there. They had a private Runway in the area, and I saw many private luxury planes landing there. They would exit the planes with their gear, followed by their Dogs.

I can tell you we don't fly there, we drive about 11 hours. We hunt with some farm boys who have a great lodge and good food.
