Even heard Geraldo Rivera say how stupid A&E is for doing this.

Right on paulharvey that's what chaps my backside about this whole thing. We have a right to our opinion just like they do according to our first amendment right. However somewhere along the way somebody I.e. big gov decided that we lost that right when it comes to speaking out against the views of the LGBT! I am very frustrated at the fact Christians are not able to speak freely. We are heading down a road that will probably label us Christians as have a mental disorder for believing in God.

I have never watched a Duck Dynasty episode.

I read the guy's comments and I am trying to see what was "offensive." He did not insult gay men from what I saw unless one counts the "sin" comments. He went on a talked about his own sins.

One kinda has to laugh that other networks keep a guy on a TV show, give him a new show, and allow him to keep making commercials even though the guy insulted gay men, threatened them with violence and encouraged others to violence. Amazing the tolerance and intolerance that is allowed under the PC banner....

A&E will back down on this fast since they are making so much money on the show and the fans of the show outnumber the people complaining. What will be interesting is if the family will support their family member and what is in their contract. I wonder if they will/can quit and go to a new network with a new show?

A&E used to be a good network but then they got away from "Arts" and "Entertainment" and went into reality show stupidity. DD seems to be a cut above but the network is useless and one of the reasons we no long pay for TV.

Later,
Dan

I have only seen snippets of the show, it's much too contrived for my tastes, but my grand kids like to watch it. The thing that the producers don't seem to grasp is, even though the family is portrayed in the same manner as the Beverly Hillbillies, it's their Christian/family values that make them unique. They are Christian, they love their spouses and children, and they are loyal and hard working. So why are they surprised when they object to the homosexual lifestyle?

There is no controversy, it's how the vast majority of people and in particular men believe. The controversy is for those who have a behavioral/sexual disorder, and those who would destroy our value system for an agenda. HS

Good!
Forward that contact info to as many people as you can...and that request is directed to all TBNers who think A&E made a bad decision.
If you really want results write to their sponsors! They pay the bills!

I never watched the show, never will, but, I read the comments that the guy said about gays.
Sounded just like me, good for you, sir.

Being suspended for something you believe is a bad precedent.

Also - if these are connected to religious beliefs - wouldn't Phil have a lawsuit opportunity here?

He might have a case...but as a "employee", he can be discharged or otherwise disciplined depending on company policy.
I expect A&E will get a lot of flack for this.
And I do hope as many of you as possible express your opinions to A&E
Here, again, is their contact information:

Just sent them a note!

I would think he could at least sue for lost income from the show - of course he might be getting a paid suspension. Also who knows what kind of contract was signed before even doing the show - he might have signed away any rights he might have had.
