What did you read that could possibly be racist? Its not Homophobic either. He didn't say kill them, discriminate against them or anything of the sort.

Jefwyn got this right. No one, not the LGBT community, A&E, The media, have told him he can't say what he is saying. They have said that it is not a view they share and they can no longer support him. No first amendment issue. He can continue to say what he wants to say, he just won't have the financial support of A&E.
He has no right to sue A&E. He was fired because he did something that the company found offensive. No different than a person who puts drivetrains in cars saying something derogatory while on the company line.
As for your emails. Yes, you should send them. But what you should really do is get a large group of you together (millions of you) that share the same values and then send a spokesman, just like the LGBT community did. That is how you get heard. Then A&E could weigh out what is important to their bottom line and appease that group. If you could get the head of your church (the big head, not your pastor) to send a message, I am sure A&E would listen.
As for the future of the show, who knows. No, it will never move to another channel. It doesn't mean the clan might not re-appear on another channel ,but Duck Dynasty will be dead as a program. If it does get cancelled, it will have such a stygma no other network will want it. If the clan is smart, they will have the old man apolgize in some form or another (assuming they want the money). If not, the show will go on for one more season without the leader, and then probably fold due to lack of interest.
As for what he said, it was offensive. No one would have been surprised if he has said I don't support gay marriage, or gay rights. But he went that magical step further and put it more in the lines of hate than disagreement.

I think the people most offended are the California and New York crowd who cant stand the idea that world and country dont revolve around there isolated little idea what the USA is.

I didn't read anything....just sayin that another network will create a similar show which caters to this audience because it sells. These guys are actors...they're not real....they have script writers....just like the Kardashians. Like most TV stars.......I am sure Ole Phil had a morality clause in his contract and he overstepped his bounds. Same thing happened to Charlie Sheen a few years ago. Like I said...he has a right to say want he wants.......but now he is paying the price. Simple as that!

Phil is welcome to freedom of speech. And A&E has the right to choose who they let represent their company. It's really that simple folks.

For those who think A&E are wrong, a better place to voice your frustration is at change.org. They have a petition floating around asking for the leader to be allowed back.
Just FYI, change.org is generally equated with the liberals but they are really a place for people to build petitions.

Hardly (get a clue)...They are REAL characters...NOT actors...are all of their antics realistic?...certainly not but what has made this show (and the characters) so popular is they are naturally entertaining and extoll the morals and family values that have been declining in America...

Not really my point. I'm not talking about gay marriage, I'm talking about how probably 90% of movies, Tv shows, and news programs are filmed, or produced in two small parts of a huge country. they try to control and contort public values to what they already have in their home base.

Santa is real as well. Are you kidding......they are handed a script each show....they can ad-lib but the premise of each show is written by writers....that's the way TV shows work. They cut and paste the takes....they shoot hours of film...they keep the good stuff. They are highly paid actors. This is make believe stuff to cater to a defined audience. Duck Dynasty is a BIG money production.....Hollywood shot on location!!!!!
