Terrorists hack Big Bertha and take control of the tunnel machine? That would be an interesting but exceedingly slow chase scene. No need for Slo-Mo special effects. :laughing:

I can see the screen play now
: The beautiful and curvaceous scientist climbs through the boring machine to the luminous green face of the object that has stopped the cutting head. Her face shows confusion and wonderment has she hears scraping sounds through the surface. Just as she turns to the tall handsome but scruffy faced hero of a sandhog at her side, cracks appear in the green shell and the nose of lille Zillah pushes into the space full of steak knife long teeth that snap at them. The hero grabs her and pulls her out of reach just in time but a tooth snags her jeans and rips off a chunk of denim that reveals a nicely sculpted cheek that will be center focus often in the ensuing chase scenes.

The 2002 well site was listed in reference materials provided to construction bidders, as part of the contract specifications.

"I don't want people to say WSDOT didn't know where its own pipe was, because it did, said state spokesman Lars Erickson.

However, Chris Dixon, STP's project director, said the builders presumed it had been removed.

"If we had known the pipe was there, we would have removed it, he said.
