1st post looking at a Kioti CK35 HST

Greetings all and Merry Xmas.
This is my very first post here and I wanted to get a few opinions. I see that Michigan Iron & equipment has a great following here and am fortunate to live just down the road from them. I am interested in a CK35 HST and they quoted me 17,589 with a FEL plus tax. Is this a decent price or should I do some more negotiating? Also, I plan to look at a new LS R3039H. How does it compare to the CK35? I live on 60 acres and want a tractor for property maintenance, food plots and firewood. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, I think that is a good price, and I would look at the LS too!. See which one fits you best and compare them for ergonomics and features. I think either would work well for you.
The Kioti weighs a bit more, but the FEL on the LS is considerably stronger. The Kioti has a treadle pedal like a Kubota, and the LS has the 2 pedal system.. some like one style some like the other, you will just have to decide. I get along fine with both. Just check them out and see which fits you. The LS comes with 2 remotes standard.. Gotta love that.

Thanks for the reply James. I'm going to drive the LS and Kioti tomorrow and hope to make a decision. It looks like the LS is priced at $19,900 which is more than I was planning to spend.

I am thinking that is high for the LS... I bet there is $2000 left in that one. See what you can do, and which one you like.. Like I said either one will do well for you.

Check with Robinson equipment in Lowell, MI. Not to far from you, I bought my LS there. Great guys and super service.

That's a good price for the CK35hst. I have a CK30hst bought in 2005 and that price is only $600 more than I paid and you're getting the bigger engine. No clue on the LS price, but the LS is also a good tractor. k0ua mentioned to try them both which is good advice. Find which is best for you. As you have seen here by the posts, MIE has been a good dealer for many. If I need filters or anything else, I call them, talk to Robert in parts, and they just send it UPS.

:welcome: To TBN. Both makes are good tractors. Drive them, ride them and get the one you feel the most comfortable with. You are correct, MIE is a great outfit to work with.

Well, it's a done deal. Michigan iron is delivering my new CK35 tomorrow. They are putting it together now. I drove and liked the LS but is was $2400 more and the dealer was more than an hour from my house. MIE will pick my tractor up for free if I have any problems. The LS dealer would have to charge me.
