I'm looking at used and new 3 point snow blowers for my BX2360, Ive seen a bunch on craigslist, priced a land pride out at the Kubota dealer and am just wondering if there are any manufacturers of these blowers I should stay away from. Also I have seen some guys say the 50" models are all the BXs can handle but Ive also read that they'll handle a 60" too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Snow blowers involve a real science and sadly most manufactures don't spend the time in my opinion. Things like fan size, clearances, chute dimensions and geometry all play very important parts. It makes a huge difference if your blower throws snow fifty feet or a hundred when you are doing a parking lot!

I have a massive George White 7 foot blower for my JD 6200. A machine no one could afford to build today, but it doesn't perform worth a ****! Have to have the throttle pretty much wide open. By contrast, a saw a guy blow snow with a blower and had his tractor barely above idle or so it seemed.

Some guys would never admit what they have isn't all that good, or they just don't know the difference, so asking around doesn't always get you good information.

Trying a few is the best way, but that isn't always so easy, especially in summer! That's when you should be buying a blower anyway! Wish I could be more specific.

I do not own any tractor yet. But around here, all the snow renoval contractor and all ny friends are buying PRONOVOST snow blower. But ai guess down the road, if your buying used. Look at the overall condition, ad there sure is some good used equipment available.

What LP blower model are you looking at? Price?

Land Pride does have a good blower for the money. For many it is just a matter of how it works to begin with. One of the larger problems for our customers is some that have older (ten to twenty years or more) is finding parts for the drives when they fail. Try to find a name brand if you can.

If you search on snowblowers, I believe there was a post listing good quality ones. My blower isn't very good and even running it on my MX5100 you would think it would shoot the snow a long ways and it does not. I agree with Industrial, they are a very special implement that needs to be made right.

The LP blower was a 50" and a price of $2000 + tax, which I think is a decent price. Although, I got that price in late november, early December BEFORE the snow flew, who knows if its the same now. I keep missing the ones on CL due to timing mostly, but at half the cost, used seems appealing, but you can never beat new...

I'm also in the market for a blower on my L4600. I priced out the land pride 74"and would love to hear from anyone with the equipment how it performs. My dealer was also recommending a blade instead but then I've been told you have to move the snow again halfway through the season. Any recommendations

I started out using a blade, but noticed that as time went on, the berms on either side of the driveway were beginning to encroach on the path. After the first winter of trying to move late-season snow to widen the path, I got frustrated. My tractor was just too light to widen the ever-decreasing driveway. I bought a Buhler/FarmKing blower and have never regretted it. Now I just use the blade in the spring to scrape the remaining slush off the gravel so it can dry off faster.

I just bought one this fall, used it once so far. It worked great, although it was powdery snow. It threw it far. Excited to see how it handles the wet snow.
