Years ago I listened to a talk show hosted by a doctor. He advised people on may topics including sex. Older guy called in asking if there any moral issue if much older man marry much younger woman and if such marriage will last. The doc answered that as long she is willing to marry him there are no moral issues, the marriage will not last but he will have a lot of fun while it does. So that is where it came from.
I am married to younger very athletic and active woman. If you can keep up with her go for it. Highly recommended.

Eddie, chilly and caver all have advice I agree with, I prefer coffee dates as a first date. Remember that it's going to take awhile to find one you like so why waste your money as well as your time. You are what has to impress her, not your wallet. It's all about your personality, your intelligence, your respect for women. Not about who you know, trips around the world, or how big your house is, at least these aren't the ones you want that would want that. When you do find the one that you mutually agree you want to spend the rest of your life with and your children agree then it's time to take steps to protect that farm in the event it falls apart in a year or two. She didn't help build it so don't let her walk away with any of it. I nearly lost mine when the first one walked and it isn't ever going to happen again. There will be pre-nups if she decides to move into here.

You've got that right! Any man who has a nice friendly dog must have some redeeming qualities.
Your friends are some of your own best endorsements to prospective dates. A man with no friends is a clear indicator to stay away from. And most men are friends with fellows from work, fellows from church, or a club or fraternal organization (although I wouldn't exactly recommend the local Masonic Lodge as a place to meet eligible women, unless you're looking for an introduction to pick up the newly lonely widow of Brother John.)

If a coffee shop is not good, since I assume this might not be a breakfast date, I think a sandwich shop would be good. Maybe something a little nicer than Subway, but it wouldn't cost more, and would also be a less crowded location, so conducive to conversation. Lunch dates usually want a little lighter meal, so a sandwich, (or soup and sandwich with the cold weather most of us are having) would be perfect, IMO.
