For now I am looking to buy a new bucket (54"). Don't know what to do with the old one, probably end up selling it off. It's a shame though, only used it for one load of gravel for the driveway and to move a bit of mulch and snow. Even got a tooth bar made for it. As fas as other ssqa, I looked around at others but kubota is asking around $480 for theirs so price wise I am going with kubota brand. Their price shocked me as well.

I just installed the SSQA on my B2320. It does add some weight but has been very useful for me. I have many skid steer attachments, often in use on a job, i.e. plowing a commercial lot with a snow bucket. I leave the skid steer material bucket to use for plowing my yard & hauling in firewood with my B2320. I have often run into situations where I would need an attachment for a job when the skid steer was out in use. Now, rather than loading the skid steer to grab the attachment, I can load on my truck or trailer with my tractor. Only thing I know I won't be able to load is the 709 backhoe attachment 1500lbs.+

Can you pick the snow bucket up with a load of snow? I have a similarly sized Bobcat (773) and the snow bucket must weigh 400-500 lbs, and with a big full load of snow the Bobcat won't even tip it. (1750 rated.) I'd love to throw it on the tractor, the LA650 I think would be rated for about 1300 lbs lift if I understand things correctly, but it seems like they are too big for the tractors? I would also worry about plowing with a 6' or 7' snow blade on the front of the loader, is that just me being overly cautious?

I am not arguing with anyone that SSQA is *nice* and I'd definitely like to have it on the tractor, the limitations just concern me for general purpose use. If I had a 1800 lb lift loader on the tractor, it'd be a definite. Still debating whether or not it's worth it for me. :)

Maybe I'm just being way too conservative...

$100 for a plate and a little welding makes converting your existing bucket easy.

Don't try to cut your brackets "off" the back of the bucket, its a frustrating waste of time and energy. Cut around the bracket "thru" the back of the bucket leaving 2 rectangle windows. When you put the plate on it will cover the holes and give a good edge to weld to.

Reminder, I'm using the standard 72" materials bucket for snow removal around my property with the tractor. Can I lift a full heaping bucket of wet, heavy snow. No, but a full bucket of light snow. Yes. If I get too much snow in the bucket, the machine still can curl the bucket forward, dump and the tractor can push it up the snowbank. Everything I need it to do and in a 1/3 less time than with the 48" bucket.

Thanks for all the help Sierradmax. I went out today and ordered my SSQA. I also decided to take bandaidmd advise and ordered a plate for my existing bucket. Figured since it has little use on it and a tooth bar I might as well keep it and use what I have plus save some $. Just have to wait till everything gets in and get to work on it.

That is the exact same plate I ordered today. I even called them to make sure it would cover the pockets I cut when removing my pin set up. And it will. Hope yours works out for you. Post some pics after you have made the change.

Has there been any progress on this project? I'd like to see some pictures of the SSQA and the plates some of you have been using to convert the buckets.
