36F cloudy winds settle little.
Snow melted lot yesterday southern sides, but north side not so much and now crusty.
Mid week another mix bag of weather, thats okay longs as temps stay around 30's

Thomas the cold is just resting new batch on way in a week or three. Feburary is liable to be brutally cold and snowy but this time we in the south will get to enjoy it as well. Sorry:D

But a flock of noisy Green Parrots showed up for a few minutes. Then left before I could get a full picture of them.

boy does that look neat Ron, I've never seen that. Like being in Brazil...what beautiful birds, and big too...
what do they like to eat?
Hopefully not rv awnings...:D
I do not think they eat much. Because they are always squawking. Actually they eat fruits and grains. They are not very big. The bird on the left is a Grackle. About 12".

37 and sunny right now.Per Accuweather, 38 is the high today with sun and breezy.
I scraped as much ice off the drive as I could yesterday....I hope between the temperature and breeze, most of it dries out.

Just saw the post where someone mentioned a 32" Sony CRT....mine that is shown in the pics below cost me $1430 back in 1993, had one $255 repair a few years back, replaced it with a 58" LED Panasonic and the picture is 10X better. My Sony tipped the scales at 155 pounds, much of the weight was the cabinet, took it to Goodwill and they sold it the next day for $29.99....

You certaintly keep good records or have a good memory. I have no idea what I paid for most things, maybe a car or a tractor, down to a couple of hundred, tops.

We were in the 60s yesterday, and supposed to get up to 75* today! I managed to get re-introduced to the garden hoe yesterday, and cleared out an 18 X 4 foot section of the garden, and worked compost in, as I went! I hope to do the same this afternoon. 42* right now, so I'll finish some indoor stuf until noon. I should be putting out onions, broccoli and cauliflower in a few short weeks!

Buppies: I agree that you are usually pretty accurate in your Wx predictions, but I hope you are not saying Texas is in for another cold blast soon! I have too many things I want to get done outside, and cold Wx is not helpful, at all.

Thanks for the kind words and yes Texas will be receiving a Blue Norther or two in the future as the atmosphere is setting itself up for a stormy Feb and March. El Niño also looks to start back up in the spring but do not know how that effects the weather in Texas:eek:

Outlook is for above Normal occurance of storms and sharp cold snaps. This is more my take on weather rather than someone else's. Have said all along the snowiest part of our winter weather will occur in Feb. and March. To date the snow for us has been nil. There is an event going on now in Asia that if it continues to increase in size and moves to North Pole we will be in for some really cold weather in Feb but we shall see. Hopefully I answered your question

50 today, nice and sunny start. Hope to dry out from all the rain. I seem to have a nice creek in the front from my neighbors regrading and pond overflow. Just flipping great.

Good Morning. 1120, sunny, 57* with 56% humidity. Forecast high of 63* this afternoon and a low of 41* tonight. Very nice out. I've been watching Larry McMurtry movies on You Tube this morning. I didn't realize there were so many whole movies on there. Even though I've seen them all before, they never get old. I'm up to part II of Dead Man's Walk so far.

But Mamma, Sister and BIL are in the Big Easy for a few days, so I have chicken and dog duty. I'll walk over and do that as soon as my breakfast settles a little. I saw a picture of Mamma and BIL drinking a Miller Lite in a French Quarter bar on Face Book last night. Looked like they were having a good time. It is nice and quite here on the Larro Ranchero with everyone gone.

Have a good day and enjoy the football games.

Larro

Maybe our storms will be above freezing! Usually a strong El Nino sets us up for rainy weather, which would be most welcome after the past few years. A weak El Nino really doesn't do much to us, either way.

Thanks, Buppies!

Our daughter and son in law had a tornado yesterday, it appears to have passed their house 15-20' above the ground, broke off and uprooted several large trees, sucked a garden flag mounted with 4 3" screws in a 4x4 out of its mount and tossed the whole deal along with 30' of of a gum tree about 75 yds to a neighbor's house. We got some strong wind here 3 miles away but zero damage. I saw it coming, the sky was not green but it was a greenish gray and the clouds on the leading edge of the front were moving north as fast as I've ever seen. I told my wife it looked like it could go rotational and it did. A little strange for January but not unheard of.
