Sorry to say. It boils down to getting the society and government we deserve! We must demand, and protest, otherwise we end up with what we have now! Sadly, too many are just lost in their social media, consumerism and the latest celebrity news! SAD! VERY VERY SAD!

I will put one in my yard if you will put a sign saying you have guns in yours. Before you open your can of vicious attack and call me the old stand by "Liberal", I probably have more guns than you and others that post on this forum. That I think is my business. I also think it is someone else's "RIGHT" to not own a gun if they don't want to and they should not be ridiculed, demeaned or asked to post a sign saying anything about a "Gun Free Zone".

Something a lot of people seem to forget, we as American citizen have our rights as set forth in the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Amendments, no where does it say because we believe in something we have a "Right" to force this "Belief" onto others.

Nowhere did I suggest it wasn't their right not to own a gun. My point is IF they are so proud of it, to the point they expect me to join them, then declare it to the world ( and crooks ) with a sign.

IF I were to post such a sign in my yard, I'd get cited for unsportsmanlike conduct.....hunting over bait.

My point is if you are so proud you own guns, why not put the sign in your yard. Then the next time you leave home and come back, the bait will be gone.

Never met someone who didn't own a gun who thought I should join them. Now I have met quite a few who are deeply concerned about the large number of people with mental problems obtaining firearms.

I would say something like......
Liberalism is a mental disease and you stated you own firearms.......

I know a guy who has had this sign in his front yard for over 25 years. He has never had a burglary.

I have a couple of comments. First off, I bet the story the OP posted about I bet the ex law enforcement guy always has a gun on him when he opens the door late at night.

Second, I'm glad someone has put a couple of myths to rest. One being a gun is more likely to hurt someone in you house by accident or be used against you. This myth has been quoted so many times but has been proven wrong over and over.

Third. The myth that the person has to be in your house before you shoot them. You just have to be in fear for you life. In the original story, the guy probably thought somebody was broke down, who knows. Who says you can't open your door at night.

Where did it say he was shot in the front yard ??
He was entering the home through the front door when shot.
Big difference.
