I have a friend who is having cold weather starting issues with his 755 Deere. Unit is parked in unheated garage. I told him to get a halogen work light and just set it on the floor under pan but in checking Amazon I noted all these Kat heating pads-looks like battery pad heaters are popular.
Any opinions??

The battery pad heater isn't going to help the engine oil.You need to "thin" the oil with some heat.
Block heaters are the way to go.

10-4 -understood-that is why I told him the halogen work light under pan-the battery pad is just an assist as far as his battery CCA is concerned-oil viscosity issues are overcome either with higher oil temps (or lower viscosity or synthetics) or ability to turn over engine is my thought process
